I stayed in the Real Rex for one night. This hotel is on a treta location, it is near the down town and other places, it's great, beautiful and the attention of the workers it's nice, the food, the structure and the services are nice, the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is with the correct and necessary things to have a bath, the only bad thing is the channels on the TV, they don't have a lot of channels.

“Easy convenience to down town”

We have stayed in "La Condesa" and it has about the same amenities, yet lesser price. Staff seemed friendly and fairly informative. My family did not appreciate their source of brunch; it seemed very lacking and not informatively organized. Even though it was just a few nights of stay; seems a possibiity to stay, yet on the last evening it was not so pleasant when my father had to discard a cockroach in what seemed to be a 4 star hotel....hmmm. The location may seem just as appropriate and well connected to the area, but may have to explore other options first. Plus, easy access to the fair in the city was an added wonder.

I stayed in this hotel on a handful of occasions during January - June 2009. The hotel is in a great location if you want to be in the historic center of Leon. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. On the down side, the hotel is a bit run down (old furniture, old carpet, etc). But every time I stayed there I stayed in one of the larger suites which varied one from the other. The best was the one with a separate living room area, kitchenette/bar area, and bedroom. The room had fantastic views, a large bathroom with a large 2-person tub (my favorite feature of the room). If you don't expect a fancy room, you'll probably be OK with this hotel for the price, location and service. And if you want a spacious room with large tub, definitely upgrade to one of the larger suites.
