“beaurifull and nice place”

Me, my wife, our baby and some friends, stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The place is beautifull and really nice. Nice swimming pool, nice staff and service. All the area around is absolutely gorgeous. Good food. very professional and friendly staff. I totally recomend this place for relax

I like to eat dinner at one nice spot on a vacation so I made a reservation here. I only came to eat dinner so this doesn’t cover a stay. The ambiance here is top notch from the historical brick hacienda to the Chandeliers and lighting. I ordered salmon, rice and vegetables. The bread they bring you is delicious too. There are no words for the live musicians and band. They are all amazing talents. If you’re in Cuernavaca or Tepotzlan dress up and go eat here and take your time.

“A true treasure”

This is the most beautiful hotel that I have ever visited! We stayed here at the suggestion of our friends who are local and it literally made my visit to Cuernavaca! The gardens, the history, the service. This historic jewel is a true treasure!

This hotel is located in amazing historical place, very nice to visit and enjoy a good meal (you can dine at the restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel). There are no attractions in the close area ... 20' from Cuernavaca and 15' from other dining options at shopping malls. There is a convenience store (Oxxo) and a Pharmacy at walking distance. I would avoid leaving the hotel at night, but maybe just my perception. Restaurant was good, though not cheap. Breakfast included cold and hot food, good variety specially on weekends (mexican food, no bacon, scrambled eggs type). They gave us a bunch of paper coupons for breakfast, spa, welcome cocktail .. easy to lose. The pool is good size, with two jacuzzis but bit constrained in space and shadowy. You can order snacks / meals at the pool. Gardens are nice, not extensive but nice for a walk or just sit down and rest (a few more sitting areas would be nice). Suites have a little patio on the front, which was very nice. Also nice spa and very attentive personnel. Inside the rooms, however ... different story. There are two areas, one is newer with standard double bed rooms in a separate building. The suites are in a different area, more integrated to the site, all different, probably part of the original building. I booked two standard rooms and was "upgraded" to Jr Suites (#6 and #24). I am not sure this worked in my favor: - Different from my expectations, the rooms / furniture / bathrooms were oldish, not antique .. not very charming - "Double" beds were full size, small for a double bed ... and in time for mattress / pillows renewal - Not enough plugs. In room #6 there was only one plug close to the bed. And wifi was weak in some areas (including inside the room) - Some rooms (including #6) have no roof in the bathroom ... bit awkward - There were not hooks for the hand towel .. had to leave it on the countertop - Rooms had a skylight in the roof .. nice, but lots of direct light since early in the morning - There were some bugs, couple of small lizards and we could even hear a bat in the room (this is not uncommon in these old estate type hotels so did not came as a surprise ... except for the bat, but that was probably bad luck) - Mornings were noisy .. part of that was because of the surroundings, part because of the cleaning outside the rooms - In room #6, water spilled out of the shower and bathroom in general was small. Shower on room #24 was larger and with good space to place things - Room keys were the old type that get "demagnetized" near your cell phone I did not check the newer rooms, so cannot tell about these, hopefully better. Other thing you should be aware of is that hotels in the area, at least this one, usually host weddings / family events during weekends. I stayed during year end, but I would guess that this might be common during the year as well. During these events, you should expect more noise and limited access to some areas of the hotel .. and sort of "second class guest" feeling. In general, we did not have an unpleasant stay, but these are facts you probably want to check before booking. Probably with little more attention to details these could be a great hotel.
