Last visited 13 years ago. Sharper decor throughout, and more efficient and pleasant staff. Check-in really speedy. Gave us a room even though 3 hours before check-in time. Room clean and spacious. Problem with bed....seemed to be on timber slab which was not even, making cluncking noise when moving. Disappointed that breakfast fruit range was much less than previous. Otherwise breakfast good. Bad....booked golf by email. At no time was I advised that course was under reconstruction, and thus limited playing conditions. Only 9 holes available. Had to pay for full 18. Should have had reduced 18 charge, or even 9 hole option. Some greens were really poor standard, probably not maintained due to imminent reconstruction. Caddies superb. Overall can see the effort to sparkle up the whole hotel. Clean and bright. MiniMart opposite from door.

Value for money hotel at the mid mountain level. Weather is pleasently cool n not as wet as compared to the First World hotel area. Frequent arnd hourly shuttle to GPO/ Awanan Skyway cable car stn. Only 1pm to 3pm n 6pm to 8pm r the downtime. Otherwise can always grab. The Awana trail walk is rathe… more

Only 1pm to 3pm n 6pm to 8pm r the downtime. Otherwise can always grab. The Awana trail walk is rather unique n I would recommend to try it out. Guides were amicable thruout. Can either take a stay package or pay per walk. Gym n heated pool were awesome. Would have given a five star if not for some cleanliness issues arnd the balcony area which housekeepers prob neglect. Advise to bring along insect repellant spray esp for the balcony area. Overall a good stay n wouldn't mind returning.
