Both staff are friendly and welcoming me at front counter. Farina/Duty Manager also friendly and helpful during my stay. she was firm and cool. i been staying at this hotel so many time and this is place like my second home.

The following review is solely based on my staying experience... Reservation 5/5 Email enquiries were promptly replied.. shout out to Daniel,Naza,Lily and Fabio Front Desk 4/5 Checking in was smooth but getting all my 3 rooms took quite a while..with 4 elderly in tow, not having a room ready when arrived is a challenge after a flight and an hour ride from the airport. Could be due to a high number of checkout or other reason . The large entrance foyer would be a great way of welcoming guest but it was utilised as a baggage holding area which made the entrance messy.. Rooms 3/5 Booked 3 deluxe seaview rooms and were housed on the 3rd floor.Rooms look aged and in need of some refurbishments but still hold its charm. Beddings are comfy and AC are working fine. Water heater holds good temperature and pressure. Some of the room cons we faced during our stay were : 1) some rooms were missing slippers 2) some rooms were missing bathrobes 3) 2 rooms were having faulty iron 3) ammenities like shampoo and shower gel were not replenished daily hence we have to buy our own kit. 4) Balcony chair and railings were filled with birds dropping. Prayer mats and kiblat were readily available for muslim in the room. Pool 5/5 Pools were great with many lifeguards on duty. There were 3 pools and a small waterpark in the resorts and I loved the 3m pool. The small waterpark with slides for children is a nice addition. Breakfast 3/5 Breakfast served with many varieties but with minimal rotation to the menu, it gets a bit average after 3 days..for a 5 day staying guest, it gets meh on the last 2 days..but on a positive note, its variety is extensive..staffs clearing the tables were prompt and polite.. Beach 4/5 Beach were clean and alot of sea sports activities could be done here like parasailing, banana boat ride, jetski etc. Massage is also available...Be careful of jellyfish though. Hotel provide these activities and you can approached them at the pool area counter. Of course there is also external vendor at the beach at your own discretion.. The sunset here is amazing..do catch it when you are here. The seaspirt will be very busy during these timing as well... Lobby lounge 2/5 During check in the welcome drink dispenser were available but no clean glass were available. I think these need to be meticulously looked into. There is a self make starbucks coffee machine that you could pay using cards or qr code but it is only up and running on my first day.it was down for maintenance from my 2nd day till my checkout day.. Overview Golden sand is a great resort but i think some refurbishment needs to be address especially when it is under the Shangri La circle. Would i come back here ? Definitely...some hits and misses but it is still a great resort to stay in too.. i am celebrating my wedding anniversary vacation here and i was given a surprise cake by the resort which is a sweet pleasant gesture which were much appreciated by us..Thank you Golden Sand..
