“Very pleasant stay”

We were surprised by the great atmosphere in the hotel. Its a huge building with modern look inside combined with old elements. Very nice staff, good breakfast and last but not least clean! A big plus: the sauna and steamroom accesible till 23.00 at night. I was sad to leave ....

I stayed at the TRIBE Rīga City Centre hotel for one night in the last week of October and had a very good experience. There are three Accor hotels in Rīga/Latvia and as a frequent traveler to Rīga, this TRIBE hotel only appeared as bookable just a month or two ago, so basically this is supposed to be a brand new location. It turned out however that it is an older hotel that has been re-branded to a TRIBE hotel. The location is very central on Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela, only two blocks from the Brīvības bulvāris/iela - kind of "Main Street" of Rīga, and is right next to Elizabetes iela and is very near to both the Latvija high-rise building, Gertrudes iela and Esplanade bus/trolley bus stops, the Centrālā stacija - the Central Station of Rīga - is three bus stops away or a 15 minute walk, the freedom monument and beginnings of Vecrīga - Old Town - is a 10 minute walk away. Upon arrival I was instantly welcomed and acknowledged as an Accor ALL Gold member and swiftly provided with the proper welcome drink voucher. I was unfortunately not allocated a room according to my pre-entered wishes - a room at the highest available floor with view to the street - but got the 3rd floor and inner yard view. The room was very spacious with very high ceiling height. There was two big and comfortable single beds, large desk with chair including TRIBE stationary and a mini-fridge, although not a mini-bar, it contained two complimentary Premium "Akvilé" brand mineral water bottles. On the wall there was a huge wall-mounted "LG"-brand flat-screen Smart-TV with about 15 TV-channels, unfortunately no working casting connectivity possibilities such as to Chromecast/Miracast/AirPlay, etc., which was a little bit disappointing, considering it basically is supposed to be, although a pre-existing, re-branded, a brand new hotel, but what can You do about it. Bathroom was also spacious with high ceiling height and had a shower cabin and WC, however without the Accor Signature toiletries, which as far as I'm concerned have been standard at most other Ibis and TRIBE locations elsewhere I've been. The Restaurant/bar was only open until 22:00 and the restaurant menu was quite scarce, but there was a fish & chips-dish on the menu, although pricey, that was supposed to be good. I never had any food, but tried out the bar with the complementary welcome drink - a fresh made and not the sometimes served Ibis/TRIBE premixed - Gin & Tonic, as well that I also tried all four variants of the local "Rīgas Melnais balzams"/Riga Black Balsam liquor, basically a herbal spirit with 45% vol. that was quite an experience, the receptionist that also was the bartender was very friendly and courteous too. The following morning I had to get up very early in the morning for work, but strangely in pretty much all the hotels I have stayed in Rīga as well as other cities in Latvia the hotel breakfast hour always starts at 7:00, which I personally find a little bit inconvenient, as the International standard usually is between everything from 5:30 or on an ordinary working day mid-week at least from 6:00, but that is just a small parenthesis. The breakfast was served in the same bar/restaurant/living room area beside the reception and I got there even before 7:00, as I had to go to an early meeting in location far from the city centre, but already before 7:00, the area was almost completely filled up, to my surprise, with a whole bunch of military men dressed in uniforms of different designs and nationalities, according to the flags on it, I suspect they were NATO soldiers, but anyway, to be completely surrounded by military men when beginning your day just trying to have eat your breakfast in peace and quiet, which they were not, felt and made me a little bit uneasy. The breakfast however was Your standard breakfast with really tasty scrambled eggs and a wide selection of tasty juices and also some local Latvian dishes to choose from as well. In conclusion I think that the TRIBE Rīga City Centre hotel is a nice addition to the three other Accor hotels in the city/country and I really felt well taken cared of by the friendly staff, especially the receptionist/bartender at duty, I think her name was Anna, who was very friendly and professional. I can definitely recommend this hotel and I feel that it is really good value for money and would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at! This place is very good value for money. Clean comfortable rooms, found it very peaceful and easy to get a good nights sleep. One of the best hotels we have stayed at! This place is very good value for money. Clean comfortable rooms, found it very peaceful and easy to get a good nights sleep. Lovely atmosphere in the lobby and restaurant area. Has the bonus of a hot tub, sauna, and steam room! Food and drinks were all good from here, but most importantly the service was outstanding. Shout out to Anna and Liga!

“Central location, renewed rooms”

A lot of space on the room, not crowded breafast, renowed room furniture and lobby area. Good wifi. Quick check-in and check out. Hotel on central location, can reach old town and central offices by foot. Limited parking, but there is few parking lots near by.
