I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. From the moment I booked my stay, I appreciated the detailed information provided on how to reach the hotel, which was particularly helpful as we arrived from the airport. The hotel's proximity to the bus station and the ease of locating it from the nearby bus stop made our journey stress-free. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the charming ambiance of the hotel, with its decor and intriguing details. I particularly loved the artwork featuring scenes of Riga and nature, which added to the hotel's appeal. While the room was compact, it was clean and well-maintained. I found the bed to be super comfortable, and I appreciated the firmness of the mattress compared with the overly soft beds often found in other accommodations. I also would like to mention the breakfast, as the food was good and varied. I especially enjoyed the serene atmosphere created by the soft melodies playing in the background, which added to the overall sense of calmness. Throughout my stay, the staff were attentive and kind, always willing to assist with our inquiries. Their hospitality contributed to a pleasant experience overall.

The only reason I’ve took a star of Forums is because it didn’t look anything like the pictures !!! The location is excellent - smack bang between the old and new town and easily walkable from the bus and train station . The reception was excellent too . Both staff we met were friendly , knowledgeable and helpful ( especially the lady with the lovely short blonde hair ) . The desk was always manned and on the day of departure we used the locked luggage room which was handy . Our room was small , cosy and quiet with a tiny bathroom that included a bath as well as an over bath thermostatic shower . Toiletries were provided in packets daily and drink sachets replenished daily by the cleaners . I wasn’t that keen on the breakfast room . It was in the basement so had no light and was quite small . It was full to capacity some days and I watched a family having to take theirs upstairs because of lack of space. However on one occasion we had an early trip and they opened up just for us which was very kind of! The breakfast food was good though not the usual fried English breakfast ( not that we minded ) We would definitely stay here again if we return to Riga .

The Forums is a small hotel on the edge of the Old City, an incredibly easy walk from the central train station and the bustop from the airport. It is not a destination hotel -- its rooms are small and sparsely designed. You're supposed to sleep there, then go out exploring -- and there is plenty to explore within walking distance, all of Vecriga and, a bit further, the Art Nouveau District -- and then return to sleep. The attentive staff made the experience much higher end than the facilities perhaps suggest. Multi-lingual, willing to accommodate last minute changes (because of flight changes, I had to check out at 3:00 AM), informative about the area ... the staff alone would encourage me to return. It is next to an Aussie Backpackers pub, and across from a night club. On weekends, especially, ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Ok hotel in the outscirt og Old Riga town. Simple rooms with simple breakfast. A bit expensive in terms of quality as of July 2024 We have been here several times but will reconsider next time in Riga.
