“Idyllic Grand Luang Prabang -- the magic of Lao heritage, on the banks of the Mekong River, with a charming Lao staff.”
Idyllic. The Grand has it all. I can go anywhere in the world for my vacation, but I chose to go back to the Grand Luang Prabang. It has Lao charm. It is clean. Most importantly it is located in a beautiful garden on the banks of the Mekong River. Charming.

The best view of sunset in town, and of the Mekong River in all its glory. Hotel staff were all super polite and friendly (especially Mr. Kam and Mr Oun (?) from the F&B staff). “Pleasant revisit”
This was my second stay at this hotel with a previous visit back in 2011. nothing much has changed but the effects of the covid years has obviously taken it's toll in regard to the completion of some much needed maintenance in areas such as the swimming pool but otherwise its in good shape. “nice stay”
stayed here as part of our Gate 1 group tour. Not close to town so not in a walkable area at all. grounds are really lovely. restaurant for breakfast and our group dinner was very good. Nice patio outside our room. Very quiet and restful. enjoyed the lawn service (water buffaloes grazing).
