“Excellent, relaxing, Mombasa beach resort”

Ideal resort for relaxation, right on the beach in Mombasa. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed the resort throughout. It has several bars and restaurants with excellent service and meals. They also have an airport pick up and drop off service. We can highly recommend Sarova White sands.

We have just returned from our holiday at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa. We have to say that the whole holiday was just fantastic. We spent 2 nights at Sarova when we first arrived and then spent 2 nights at Salt Lick on Safari and then returned to Sarova for another 7 nights. We stayed in sea facing rooms both times and they are at the front of the hotel with the sea right in front of them. The rooms were clean, of a good size, plenty of storage, really comfy bed and pillows and had a fantastic walk in shower. The food at the buffet, Lido restaurant and minazi restaurant was great. We really enjoyed the peaceful settings at minazi and Lido restaurants and ate at these 5 times during our stay. We spent our time at the pool Bar pool which was just beautiful. Most days we were the only ones at the pool until 10.30am and it never got busy. No one went down at 6am to reserve sunbeds and then go off for hours. There was never a problem getting a sunbed at what ever time we got there. We loved that the stools in the water at the bar were not hogged by people and we never had an issue having drink's and eating there. The grounds were kept really clean. We treated ourselves to a couple's massage and this was wonderful. Myra and Ruth at the Spa were fantastic. We have to say that we found all the staff at the hotel so polite, happy and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble for them and every member of staff that you passed would say Jambo (Hello) with a smile on their face. Although all staff were so lovely we do want to shout out a few that made our stay so great. Myra and Ruth at the Spa, Davis and Justus at the pool were so helpful and engaging and happy to help and talk about anything we asked them about to understand culture and the local area. Brian at the pool bar was a young man who really took great pride in his job and again was just amazing. Brian should be the Bar manager has he clearly has high standards that he works to and takes the lead behind the bar. There was a lovely young lady at the Lido Restaurant that we can't remember her name. She wore beige skirt , pink blouse and wore glasses. She sorted out a birthday cake and decorated the table for my Husbands birthday. The only negative was that if you went onto the beach you were hassled straight away to be sold something or go on a boat trip. Therefore we never went on the beach. We had an amazing holiday at an amazing hotel with amazing Staff.

We stayed in whitesands as a family with our children (9,7 and 3.5). It is the third time being here every year and it is because it is the holiday choice for the children. The animation team keeps the children entertained and well taken care of . A special mention goes to Elizabeth, Zeinab, Tracy, Sally, Jackline Chemo, Kyalo, Mercy and Ruth. You are the reason we keep coming back. Denis from housekeeping is also very good and attentive to the clients’ needs. Overall the food, customer service and cleanliness is top notch. Well done to the entire team.
