This was a cheap hotel and it shows. Despite having a non smoking room there is a general smell of stale smoke throughout the hotel. Entrance and exit is on a floor below the desk level and so is very unwelcoming on arrival. It is in a handy location though if you are going on a cruise, being about 10 minutes by taxi from the cruise port, and close to a train station. The room was really small and beds were extremely hard. The restaurant was not interested in trying to cope with food for a coeliac so we had to go elsewhere to eat.

The room was a cozy 16.5 m2. Enough room for two open suitcases side by side in the passageway near the door. Getting to one side of the bed was difficult due to its closeness to the wall and the air-conditioning controls. Doable, but you need to step over the corner of the bed. (Guess which side I was on!) The bed was smallish. For those accustomed to a Queen sized bed or bigger, it was, again, cozy! It was, however, comfortable enough and we slept well. We stayed two nights prior to joining a cruise departing from Yokohama Cruise Ship terminal. Breakfast was included in the price we paid and was excellent. Good variety, particularly if you like Asian food. For those accustomed to a Western Breakfast there was a limited range of cereals and some Western style hot food. We both found enough to keep us going until lunch time. For those who like their coffee, the coffee machines produced a reasonable brew with choices from black to cappuccino. In terms of proximity to things to do, the station was just down stairs and next to the entrance. There was a linear park above the train line that had a market on Sunday. Lots of second hand clothing and goods and some new items. You may be lucky and find a bargain, but don't expect the stall holders to speak much English. We were able to walk to the Cruise Terminal to check out where we were headed (but took a taxi there on embarkation day!) There is a very nice Japanese garden next to the stadium. You can't miss the stadium it seems to be the center of everything and a good landmark when out walking. The price for two nights was reasonable and the breakfast was excellent. Worth a stay if you are heading out of Yokohama on a cruise and looking for comfort at a budget price.
