“Traditional Japanese accommodation”
We visited Hanaya with my 1-year-old daughter. It was difficult to find baby-friendly ryokans but we could luckily find Hanaya which offers several good service for a baby. At first, they heated baby’s food anytime we want. Secondly, they brought dinners to our own room. At last, private onsen bath… more

“A perfect Ryokan for those who want a good hot spring, good food and peaceful stay”
I went to this ryokan with my husband without expecting much at the beginning other than seeing the old traditional taisho architectual style for the ryokan. But upon our arrival we were greeted very politely from a staff offering us an umbrella ( as it was raining) and treated well from the start.… more

“excellent onsen and ryokan”
My wife and I are big onsen fans and go probably about 8 times a year to different places. this time we went to Hanaya - excellent service, excellent kaiseikiryori and beautiful old ryokan. I was very pleased. We took a friend who is leaving japan (and speaks little japanese) for one last memory ..… more

We spent one night in this inn-it is 100 years old and still retains much of the feel of the past.
