my wife and myself have recently completed a 3 week stay at the sheraton miyako. As senior marriott card holders we were treated exquisitely with an upgrade to a beautiful, renovated large room high up in the hotel. its one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in japan and we have been fortunate to stay in many. the location is excellent.......... adjacent to the hotel are both an airport bus service and a subway station. The hotel is just a couple of stops away from central osaka. Despite the immediate proximity to these communication links, the hotel is blissfully quiet and we had 3 weeks of excellent sleep. the executive lounge offers a full range of foods for breakfast and has a chef working at an egg station. in the evening the lounge offers hot and cold food with supplies coming from some of the excellent restaurants in the hotel. there is also a full range of beers, wines and spirits. lately the lounge has been putting on some events every couple of weeks in the evenings. whilst we were in residence the lounge had a roast beef evening which showcased some excellent japanese beef and then a cocktail evening with 2 external mixologists who shook up some great cocktails. some staff deserve mentioning.......... akiko murata , the lounge leader who is probably the most helpful person you will ever meet in a marriott hotel and seishin ohno who is the manager of what is a most welcoming club lounge. the hotel has many food outlets and offer excellent value lunches in the japanese and chinese restaurants. the food is superb in both restaurants and, as with the club lounge, there are some outstanding staff. sakurako hirayama works in the japanese restaurant and surprised both my wife and myself by identifying an osaka restaurant we were looking to find from a previous trip and producing a map of how to get there. in the chinese restaurant, many thanks to yukina and bambi for being so helpful. a final thanks to the very hardworking and very capable director of rooms, tomoki tanaka .

This is a true Sheraton in Japan unlike the one in Tokyo, Osaka Sheraton is a luxury hotel with updated rooms and facilities. This is a true Sheraton in Japan unlike the one in Tokyo, Osaka Sheraton is a luxury hotel with updated rooms and facilities. The buffet breakfast served in the main restaurant was the best we had in Japan. We liked that there is a direct bus from/to Kansai Osaka Airport at 1800 ¥ this made our stay even more comfortable. We were so happy with our choice in Osaka.

My sister and I returned to the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka, this time for three days. This time too we arrived with a rented car and following the guidance we received last year, we found the hotel parking easily and even found a convenient parking space near the hotel lobby. Since the parking is shared with the huge Kintetsu Department Store close to the hotel, sometimes there is a certain parking shortage during hours when the flow of shoppers is large. In any case, the signage for the hotel parking still needs improvement, and it would be appropriate for it to appear prominently from the entrance level on the road leading to the hotel. Beyond that, and since this is the only comment I have for the hotel, all the other points I will mention are worthy and praiseworthy. The hotel is in a good location, right above a train station, which has connections and only two stops from the entertainment and shopping district Namba and Dotonbori. As mentioned, the hotel is linked to the Kintetsu Department Store, full of shopping, dining and other options. The room itself was a reasonable size, although the hotel seems a bit outdated and in need of some upgrading. At the entrance to the room, unlike modern hotels, the electrical system is not activated by the entrance card to the room, and each switch is activated independently. The bathroom is outdated and without all the modern gadgets and means we are used to in new hotels. As mentioned, the maintenance is probably fantastic, because the room was clean at the highest level and in the most pleasant way and without any disturbance during our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was rich and excellent, although the restaurant itself was quite full and busy on the days we were there. Since during our stay we encountered various airline crews staying at the hotel, I appreciate that they also came to the same conclusion that I also came to - excellent value for the money paid. We will be happy to visit again (hopefully soon)

“Well presented hotel”

Lovely hotel, Rooms were spacious and well presented. Lovely bed linen and comfy mattress. Bathrooms were nice with plenty of toiletries provided. Breakfast was excellent if a little busy . Only slight complaint was that the restaurant stops taking orders at 20.30 so when we arrived off a flight at… more

Lovely hotel, Rooms were spacious and well presented. Lovely bed linen and comfy mattress. Bathrooms were nice with plenty of toiletries provided. Breakfast was excellent if a little busy . Only slight complaint was that the restaurant stops taking orders at 20.30 so when we arrived off a flight at 19.30 we ended up eating in our travelling clothes to make sure we had food.
