“Hotel Okura Niigata - nice, handy, good rooms, good staff”
Niigata is not on the beaten path for tourists, although it should be. I will fully credit Chris Broad with putting the idea in our heads to visit the sake bar/store in the JR train station as a bucket list item. “Old but lovely hotel”
The Okura has a great location overlooking the river and on the Loop bus route. It’s a 7 minute taxi ride from the station. There are lovely walks along paths right outside and along the river. “Comfortable hotel in good location ”
Throughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Okura Niigata. Rooms are old but comfortable. Service is excellent, breakfast was great with such fresh delicious food. Hotel is close to shopping areas and a range of restaurants.
