I stayed here twice as location is less than 10 mins walk from Kyoto station. Room is clean and design of facilities are convenience for staying. Bath room amenities are good quality with nice smell. I stayed here twice as location is less than 10 mins walk from Kyoto station. Room is clean and design of facilities are convenience for staying. Bath room amenities are good quality with nice smell. Not buy breakfast but hotel also offer breakfast package. I like hotel option to checkout key drop machine so we do not need to spend any second at front desk.

“Good Location, Small Rooms”

The location was a short walk from the Train Station which was easy to get to each day. The ceilings are very low and we spent most of our time ducking so we didn't hit our heads (we are 180cm). The location was a short walk from the Train Station which was easy to get to each day. The ceilings are very low and we spent most of our time ducking so we didn't hit our heads (we are 180cm). Bathroom was ridiculously small, even by Japanese standards. To use the toilet your face was up against the toilet door - I'm not exaggerating. The space was so small that if you were too long in the leg you wouldn't be able to close the door when sitting on the toilet. The Shower is obviously designed for Japanese people (which is fine), however our bathroom had a duct on the wall of the shower which meant when standing to use the shower your head had to be at a 60 degree angle. The shower nozzle is at around chest height but is removeable so you can detach and wash the top half of your body if you don't want to get on your knees to wash your hair. A note worth mentioning is that the shower is in a bathtub, of which the sides are rather high. So if mobility is an issue then the shower will present serious problems. The room was probably average size by Japanese standards but small by Western Standards, The bed was against the wall with a small space at the end of the bed but you couldn't really walk there so you would have to climb over the other occupant if you needed to get off the bed. Lots of charging points including a USB in the bedhead which was a bonus. Elevators were very slow and quite small so it was quite often a decent wait for the elevator. There is space under the beds for luggage however when trying to access it there wasn't really enough space to open them in the room, particularly if you have a 50/50 (or hardshell) suitcase with compartments on either side. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese buffet, with a variety of cold and warm dishes, it can get quite busy so would advise getting there early if you want a seat, there is a secondary seating area but I would imagine this fills up quite often too. We had better breakfasts at other hotels in Japan but still ate there each morning as it was included in our booking - I wouldn't pay extra for it as there are plenty of dining options around the station. We stayed over christmas and the room was reasonably priced by Australian standards for that time period, however not sure what their standard rates are - there would be cheaper hotels for a similar room size out there (and easily with better bathrooms). Wifi was fast and specific to each room which was nice. There are alot of hotels near the Kyoto station so I probably wouldn't stay here again.
