Stayed here for 7 days and I love the service. I get complimentary service of 2 beers and chips daily (where in the world can you get that?), aside from the compulsary green tea, creamer, sugar, and coffee. Very near the Train stations. At the back of the hotel is the Tetsujin Monument, the location of the hotel is at a redidential area so there is not much to see there if you are a tourist. But since it is very near the Train stations, it is easy to got to different locations in Kobe.

“Suave by name, Suave by nature!”

This is a stunning hotel right slap bang in the centre of Kobe. It is very new, and nicely decorated in a modern western style. It is literally minutes away from the train station　（新長田　Shin Nagata). This is a stunning hotel right slap bang in the centre of Kobe. It is very new, and nicely decorated in a modern western style. It is literally minutes away from the train station　（新長田　Shin Nagata). There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel ranging from macdonalds, yoshinoya, ramen shops, yaki-niku, izakaya etc. We didnt try the restaurant in the hotel but the menu did look very appealing. It seems to be orientated towards business customers, but we were made to feel welcome and the service was as good as you would expect. It isnt perhaps the cheapest hotel around, but we managed to get a special half price deal as it is very newly opened. (Still, even with the deal, 14,000 per night for a double was a little bit more than we paid for other hotels. The going rate for very average/3 star business hotels seems to be about 8-10,000 yen per night.) Bed was very comfy! The room has a plug for a laptop to get internet, and a nice LCD tv and Aircon/heater. The only thing I really had a problem with was the alarm clock built into the head of the bed has a very bright LED display which cannot be turned off which was rather annoying. We were only in kobe for a couple of days so didnt explore a whole lot in the local area but the is a big plaza shopping mall very near by, and of course being so close to the subway, you can easily get around to all the other attrations. (Personal reccomendation is the herb garden and ski lift - beautiful views. Also, harbour land area is worth a visit especially if it is a nice warm evening. Good restaurants and lovely atmosphere.) Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I rate it for convenience, comfort and style!

“OK business hotel next to Tetsujin”

Stayed at the Suave for 2 nights, as central Kobe was fully booked. Reasonable business hotel that has a few eating options close-by, in a quite area of the city. Has a free foot onsen to the side of the hotel, but this was always closed when I went to try and use it.

“Hotel is fine but too far away from town center”

You need the train to go to the center of Kōbe. So if you plan to visit Kōbe for sightseeing I would not recommend this place. (Nearby there is nothing to see at all.) For business this location might be fine. The rooms are clean, but really small. The internet (by cable) works good. The television shows only Japanese channels (no CNN). This is not exceptional in Japanese hotels. Breakfast is good. As the friendly staff hardly speaks English they cannot inform you about the current status of sights. (Some temples are being restored at the moment and cannot be visited during this period. It would be nice if the hotel staff can give you an update.)
