“Lovely Family Stay. Good location.”

We are a family of four, two adults and two teenagers who stayed in the Japanese Suite on the 39th floor and had a very comfortable experience. We are a family of four, two adults and two teenagers who stayed in the Japanese Suite on the 39th floor and had a very comfortable experience. We arrived at 1am and check in was swift as we were the only customers at that time. We were asked what time we would like our futons to be set up again each evening so we could have more space in the suite during the day. There was plenty of space for our cases. We were provided with slippers, pyjamas, robes and plentiful bathroom products to use. It was so inviting to see our four futons set up like one giant comfortable bed after a long journey. Bring on an executive floor meant we also had access to the Executive Lounge, one floor above us and accessed via stairs a little way down the corridor. We went here a few times for free refreshments and snacks to wind down after a long day out. There was also a service desk up there so that we were able to check out easily without the crowds in the lobby at the end of our stay. The hotel itself is in a great location with easy walks to two stations for metro and JR trains and with plenty of dining options in and around it. There is also a 24 hour Lawson convenience store at the bottom of the hotel which was also very handym

“Comfortable, clean; small rooms; automation a bit soul-less.”

The room was comfortable enough, clean, but a bit on the small side, meaning I had to rearrange the furniture a bit to have room to move around. The location is pretty good, however. The room was comfortable enough, clean, but a bit on the small side, meaning I had to rearrange the furniture a bit to have room to move around. The location is pretty good, however. Check-in is entirely automated which is… fine I guess, but I do like to have someone to talk to at check-in in case I have any questions about where things are. My room came with executive lounge access, and I used it for breakfast both days that I was there. Although a little odd (fried eggs with pasta and tomato sauce), the breakfasts were fresh and hot, with good quality ingredients. Another pleasant surprise is the fact that soft drinks and beer from the minibar were free, so a nice way to wind down in the evenings.

I stayed almost two weeks at the Tokyo Dome Hotel, trying both the basic and premium rooms. This hotel makes a great base for exploring Tokyo. The staff are courteous and will do their best to make you comfortable. The premium rooms are excellent and well outfitted. The restaurant on the 43F is amazing - there was poor planning on our part and we asked them very last minute if they could accommodate a vegetarian lunch course for us. They pulled this off in no time with some delicious dishes. The only 2 downsides to this hotel are the basic rooms and the common breakfast buffet- I stayed here back in 2012 and these rooms have not been upgraded at all. They look very dated. In fact I think they may have even peeled back features like an iron in each room, robes and laundry service (now there's a self laundry facility) Spending more on the premium rooms is worth the money. The buffet had good options but the layout is very cramped for how many guests use it. This often results in long lines at the coffee station and near collisions.
