We needed a room for one night for 2A + 2C (17 and 15) and found this place online. We didn't pay a deposit and only received a reminder of our booking the day before, so up until then we really weren't sure it was legit om and we would have somewhere to stay. However, we were pleasantly surprised - the staff were very welcoming, our 4-bed room was spot-on, they provided towels, toiletries, a fridge, WiFi, and the breakfast and Tokyo Sky Tree vouchers were included in the room. Highly recommend. Thank you Tobu Hotel!

The first night we arrived my son had an allergic reaction to something he ate from the convenience store. The staff called the ambulance for us and helped with translating to the paramedics. Highly recommend this hotel.

“Welcome to Tokyo”

The good Fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Funky toilets. The not so good Rooms are on the small side and sink / bath / toilet all reflect the typically smaller guest demographic (facilities were slightly Lilliputian for a 6 foot tall man). Blinds didn’t keep much light out and only angled downwards, so couldn’t achieve desired darkness needed to aid a good sleep. Light from outside corridor also illuminated the room from under the door. Rooms not very soundproof - lots of noise audible from neighbouring rooms. The thing that was most aggravating was discovering that after a 13.5 hour flight and nearly 24 hour total journey time from setting off to arriving at the hotel (at 10:00) that early access to the room was only possible through payment of an additional 1100 yen (£5+) per person, per hour and that the earliest we could gain access would be 13:00, so we had to hang around for three hours and pay £23 before we would be able to clean up and crash after such a long journey - some greater flexibility and less commerciality would have been greatly appreciated on a purely human level. Tips Cafes and restaurants nearby - train station just down the road with a few quick and easy options to choose from. We had a really lovely meal at AUX BACCHANALES the French brasserie style restaurant just a short walk away (4 Chome-10-18 Takanawa, Minato City, Tokyo 108-0074, Japan) - very tasty, great service and nice ambience - just what we needed as our first meal on arrival feeling very jet-lagged).
