Shibuya Tokyu Rei Hotel

“Central location”

A welcoming reception with friendly staff to assist. This hotel is in a fantastic location for Shibuya station, the crossing, food/shopping. Staff were happy to provide us with additional pillows at our request. The hotel was very clean. There is a smoking booth available at the hotel.

“Staff is great, cleanliness not so”

Had some issues staying here, particularly in the cleanliness department. Hotel showers stalls in the room are yellowed with tar from smoking in the bathroom. The tar could be easily scrapped off with a tissue and firm pressure from your finger, makes me wonder if the tub is ever truly cleaned beyo… more

Had some issues staying here, particularly in the cleanliness department. Hotel showers stalls in the room are yellowed with tar from smoking in the bathroom. The tar could be easily scrapped off with a tissue and firm pressure from your finger, makes me wonder if the tub is ever truly cleaned beyond a wipe down. The hotel is advertised as non-smoking, however our first room in the 11th floor smelled terrible of cigarette smoke. I am very allergic to cigarette smoke, and we had to ask the front desk to see the room smell for themselves and they could smell it too. We showed one of the staff the tar yellow film on the shower and showed him how we were able to easily scrape it off and he agreed that it was dirty in both rooms it was the same issue. They don’t clean. They only make the beds, and change the towels that’s it. Also the room walls are so thin, you can hear EVERYTHING. Our upstairs neighbor kept us up multiple times banging on the ceiling, and the next door people we could hear their conversations. I will say the staff was very nice, but the focus on training should be with the cleaners. Staff is doing a great job at being kind and welcoming

Short walking distance from Shibuya station. We stayed one night here. Smaller sized hotel room with mini fridge, kettle and compact washroom. Overhead projector to beam tv onto the wall. Pay buffet breakfast 2200 yen had enough variety of Asian and western items. Purchase the buffet tickets from the vending machine next to reception to save 10%. The made to order ham, mushroom omelete was delicious. Complimentary drinks and snacks 3-10pm offered which we did not have time to try. We borrowed their umbrellas as it was pouring rain when we popped out for dinner.
