Conrad Tokyo is situated in a lovely part of Tokyo with Ginza being at a walkable distance from the hotel . We stayed at the hotel during our recent our Japan trip and had a lovely time. We had an early morning flight and reached the hotel quite early in the day , however hotel staff were extremely accommodative and ensured that we were able to check in early and take some much needed rest . Great staff across and especially at the fitness centre and the executive lounge. Also, special call out to the concierge team , who were always on hand to answer all our questions with utmost patience.

As others have mentioned before, I can’t stress enough how great this hotel and its staff are! From the moment you step into the lobby till the checkout, everyone is trying to make your stay memorable. Staff is amazing and would ensure you are happy and well taken care of. The rooms are nice and elegant with lots of amenities and very comfortable bedding. The executive lounge was also very quiet and cozy but it gets crowded during the breakfast and evening cocktail hours. The onsite restaurant and the bar are also good addition to the hotel and you def need to try the Japanese restaurant and have a drink the bar to enjoy the view. More importantly it’s conveniently located near the metro station which makes it super easy to go around by simply going down the escalator and taking the train. Highly recommended and would stay again hopefully soon.

I don't know what is going on with Conrad but on this particular trip we stayed in 4 Conrads- Tokyo, Singapore, Maldives, and Istanbul. Last summer we stayed at the Conrad Cairo. All of them are ok, nothing special, nothing memorable (yes even the Maldives), but focusing on our first stop, Conrad Tokyo -simple spend the dollars elsewhere. As others have mentioned the reception is on level 28 and check in was fine, and I was recognized as a Diamond member but of course no upgrade. That's fine it was going to be for two nights so not a big deal. Got to our room and...thats it a beige room, not much in terms of ambience. Bathroom again ok, but as a previous reviewer mentioned the toilet is not the high end toilet one would expect in Tokyo, and I thought I broke the seat since it was loose. Bed was fine, but the wooden drapes in the bathroom are cheap and allowed the stupid night light in the toilet to shine through. Second night I threw a towel over that to cover it. Fitness room is done well and I like how it overlooks the lap pool. And the 28th floor lounge was always busy. In fact I was of the opinion it was a to be there and be seen place. Now what bothered me the most was the breakfast at Cerise. First morning we got there and had no problem getting a seat but the second morning even at 7:30, there was an overflow crowd that was sent to perhaps Kazahana, same floor but it was not the usual place for breakfast and the service on the second day was atrocious. Now I am reading a lot of reviews about breakfast and I am thinking is this the same hotel. It was ok but Tokyo Hilton was much better, and the three hotels we stayed at in Vietnam were so much better with the offerings and selection. What really got me was the bread/roll/pastry items which were blah, and the pathetic and I mean pathetic attempt of a taco bar. Were the shells taken out of Old El Paso brand? You can look at the pictures provided to judge yourself. Overall the hotel is very clean, and this was the only Conrad I received their plush toy to add to my collection, but I would consider this and really all the Conrads to be more of business hotel. And I'm done wasting my time staying at Conrads. So if you got the money or points spend them at Tokyo Hilton, and start moving away from the Hilton brand, especially Conrad.

The hotel is beautifully designed and there seemed to have been no expense spared on the design of the hotel, and especially the rooms which are large, spacious and well furnished for style and comfort. Although not easy to find, this seems to be a common comment from others, and is not a good enough reason to avoid this hotel. The reason I haven’t given it 5 star is for two reasons. Having stayed at the Grand Hyatt at the beginning of our visit to Japan, I found the service at the Hyatt to be of a better and more professional standard. That is not to say it wasn’t good at the Conrad, but noticeably less good than Grand Hyatt. The second reason is based on my own criteria for a top rated hotel and that is the quality of their orange juice at breakfast. At nearly every top hotel, it is freshly squeezed, so when the Conrad provides orange juice from a carton and wish to charge 2,400 Yen (around £12 or $15) as an extra, that says a lot about the hotel, especially when breakfast costs 6,500 yen (£32.50 or $41). We will return to Tokyo, but unless the Conrad takes on board these comments, we will opt for the Grand Hyatt.
