Stayed at the hotel for 3 days by myself before taking a 10 day food trip around Japan. Great hotel. Rooms very spacious. Loved the bathtub, comfortable bed and fantastic buffet.Had dinner at the casual restaurant as well. Good selection. Food was a little overpriced but I expected that as its a 5 star hotel. I like using the "subway" to get around and found it to be very easy to use once I got there. About a 10 minute walk to the station. Can walk underground or on the street. Its a little complicated the first time around but worth it. Would stay here again.

We’re currently in Tokyo for a friend's wedding, and just five days into our ten-day visit, we’ve found ourselves captivated by the Conrad Tokyo. With the wedding festivities behind us, we planned to explore the city, but the hotel’s exceptional service and outstanding dining options have made it hard to leave. Conveniently located near the Ginza shopping area, Tsukiji Fish Market, Kabukiza Theatre, and Hamarikyu Gardens, the Conrad Tokyo is perfectly situated for exploration. The concierge staff are incredibly helpful, ready to guide you or book your adventures. As a Hilton Diamond member, we were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade, adding an extra touch of luxury to our stay. We even had the chance to meet Neil McInnes, the Regional General Manager for East Japan and General Manager of Conrad Tokyo. It was a pleasure to share with him our appreciation for the remarkable service and the hidden gem that this hotel represents in one of the world's largest cities. In short, if you’re visiting Tokyo, the Conrad is a destination in itself that should not be missed. This is our third trip to Tokyo and never felt this way about a property.

We just checked out of the Conrad Tokyo, and overall, our stay was satisfactory - comfortable but nothing at all memorable. I guess that our benchmark for hotels had been set high after coming stays at a Ritz Carlton and two Mandarin Oriental properties. This was my second stay here, and this time, the lobby was complete chaos at all times with hoards of people. It was loud, crowded, and felt like I was checking into a Disney or Vegas hotel. It definitely did not feel like Japan. Check-in was a breeze with Park, who was a super friendly, charismatic gentleman, who took a lot of pride in his role. He was awesome, and by far, the most competent employee that we encountered. The man should be promoted and given a raise. The room was nice and clean. Being a "Diamond" member, I was upgraded to a room with a view, which was a nice touch. There were signs of wear and tear, so they definitely need a refresh (not a whole lot). The AC was lacking a little bit in the room, and didn't even get close to the 16 deg C that the thermostat was set to. In any case, the room was fairly comfortable overall. Thus, no major complaints with me. The lack of consistency with service was really a big issue on this visit. The worst was when one of the bell staff arranged a transfer for my sisters, but on the wrong day! So, when the time came, the car never showed up. Luckily, it was easy to rectify; however, this should not be happening at a so-called five star property. Service at breakfast, as well, was lacking. I feel this may have to due with under staffing more than anything. If you don't mind a cookie cutter property with a lot going on, this could be a good property option in Tokyo. The 2 for 3 night deals and awards availability also make this a winner. If you're, however, looking for true Japanese hospitality with exquisite service and a memorable experience, look elsewhere.........The Peninsula, MO, Four Seasons, Aman are the properties you want. I don't plan on returning to the Conrad Tokyo in the future ( or any Conrad property) since the concept most likely isn't a good fit with my travel style and expectations.
