I think the location is not the best for this APA hotel and there are other APA hotels nearby which offer a better location closer to stations. This is a very large hotel with 6 towers but seems like not much ground staff apart from the central tower C. You can expect a well designed and clean compact room as per most APA hotels. Like a few different APA hotels seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so rooms get hot but the window can be opened.

“The APA Hotel Experience (Expectation vs Reality)”

First impressions of the hotel was luxury on a budget. We had a fun experience overall, but we think they can do better comparing to other business hotels we’ve been in at Tokyo and in Japan particularly. In summary, you couldn’t ask for more from APA.

I didn't realise how big this hotel complex was until I came, and now I realise why it's called Roppongi Six. It's easy to navigate through the buildings, though! I stayed in a small double room, I was solo travelling so it was fine for me. The amenities are great, the room is comfortable, the location is good, it's a ten minute walk in any direction to a station (I mostly came from Roppongi station, take exit 6!). The hotel is trying to be more eco friendly, so they won't make up your room daily unless you ask for it. However, they will leave a bag on your door handle with fresh towels/replenishments in etc. I like this method, tbh! I'd probably stay here again!

Other reviewers say this is convenient cos of a bus stop right in front. But I took subways with a 72 hour card. The stations were quite a distance away 10 min or more. Other reviewers say this is convenient cos of a bus stop right in front. But I took subways with a 72 hour card. The stations were quite a distance away 10 min or more. I am not lazy but when lugging heavy bags it was difficult. Also it rained many days. I don't want to walk too long in the rain if possible. I later booked another cheaper hotel in Shinjuku just 1 minute from the subway entrance. Travelers want a convenient location to get to places easily and quick. I didn't like to walk so far at the end of the day when I was tired out from the day's activities. This is just my opinion having stayed in various hotels. I don't mind walking when it is not raining and I am not tired. The check in was cumbersome. There were machines at every counter where I had to scan my passport myself and answered some questions. The hotel has several buildings and so at check in time there were long queues. So check in took a long time. But the staff spoke English and were helpful. The room was of standard size for this price range. It had the usual amenities but no bottled water. Later I discovered free bottles at the reception. I made the mistake of booking a smoking room for the first night but had further bookings of non smoking room. The room smelled bad but I was too tired to ask for a change after the tiring walk with heavy bags from the subway station. Make sure you book the right type of room you want. On check out day it was raining heavily. I didn't relish walking with my heavy bags in the rain to the subway. So I asked the hotel to call a taxi for me. Extra charges of course. There are shops and restaurants at the Roppongi intersection also about 10 minutes away. I did not take breakfast.
