Located around 12min gentle walk from JR Sapporo (we had trolley luggages with us), I would say Location good. With luggages, I’d suggest taking a taxi (cost us ¥670, not bad, saved us the hassle). Entrance, under huge shade, no worry about rain or sun while waiting for taxi or taxi dropping us off. Staff, excellent. Cleanliness, excellent. Lounge, so so. Breakfast, we didn’t go for it. More economical to buy from convenience stores nearby (a 7-11 right across the road and a Family Mart on the same street, 1.5min walk only). Room: big and comfortable, we booked Premier floor 18F for family of 4. Had a living room. Clean. Air purifier provided. All the usual stuff one expect, they are there. Kettle, small fridge, sofa, desk, pen, note pad, soap, umbrella, hanger inside wardrobe big space for jackets,‘shoe horn, shoe brush, iron, safe deposit box, TV (we never used), luxury Mikimoto soap (saw this high end shop in Tokyo Ginza). Floor carpeted and was clean, not dusty. Smoking area on the ground floor (1F). Yamato counter and staff present there, we used the service and were very pleased. All in All, we had a very good stay there for a week. Yes it is costly, yes the hotel is old. But it is very good. Good Quality Hotel. Contrary to what one fellow TA commented, it is absolutely not a budget hotel. It is not cheap, but we are happy with what we got. Do we recommend? Yes. One down side is that Keio doesn’t have a coin laundry. We had to walk 10min to a nearby coin laundry shop. The reception will point you to the right direction. Name is Sukatta Coin Laundry. 1000¥ for wash and dry.

“Excellent hotel in Sapporo for tourists ”

Great location. Excellent buffet breakfast with a variety of food. Clean room with all amenities and a very comfortable bed after a days sightseeing. Staff were plentiful and very helpful. Recommending nearby restaurants to eat in. Would definitely stay here again

Had a pleasant stay at Keio Plaza, Sapporo - end Sept & Mid Oct 2023. The twin room for 2 person is big for 2 person and the view is from room is that of the city view. Had a pleasant stay at Keio Plaza, Sapporo - end Sept & Mid Oct 2023. The twin room for 2 person is big for 2 person and the view is from room is that of the city view. We also stayed in the Single Room, whose view is that of Hokkaido University and the JR train track. The noise from the trains were not that bad. In the night we can hardly hear the noises from the tracks. Have to walk about 8mins to 10mins to Sapporo Train station, cross 2 junctions. Though can get to the entrance (stairs) of the underground at the convenience store (Family Mart/7-11), Rokkatei, the Marusei Butter Sand sandwich cookie main store is just across the junction of the hotel, super convenient to buy it on your last day before hitting to the airport. Or buy it and go back to hotel and you can go out again. There's a good ramen shop just less than 5 mins walk from the hotel . The hotel staff recommended us this shop. It is just to the left of the hotel. Opposite the hotel is a 7-11, to the left there's Family Mart too. Overall a pleasant stay, good service from the staff. Friendly and very helpful.

Spacious room. You can open up two 29” luggage with ease. There’s a big bath tub. USB charger is available but all wall socket are Japanese type 2 flat pins . Tv have Netflix and YouTube. Spacious room. You can open up two 29” luggage with ease. There’s a big bath tub. USB charger is available but all wall socket are Japanese type 2 flat pins . Tv have Netflix and YouTube. Basin got 2 taps, one for normal usage, another filtered water for drinking . The is a charge to use the gym and sauna . Toyota car rental is just inside the hotel itself. Generally room is quite modern. We didn’t include breakfast cos there is a family mart next door and a 7-11 just opposite. Lawson is one street behind 7-11. Only cons is quite a far walk from Sapporo station… it’s worse if it’s raining … it’s difficult to follow Google map exit while u r inside Sapporo station … follow sign to Daimaru, get out from Daimaru at street level and then follow Google map.
