It’s a beautiful boutique hotel a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy spots in Sapporo City. I’d look away from this minor location detail because at the end of the day, it’s the comfort that truly mattered. From arrival to departure, the service was top notch. For those who can splurge a bit more, take the executive floor where a daily breakfast of good spread or an afternoon of tea or even the happy hour is free flowing. The minute you step into the hotel, the ambience and fragrance takes your breath away. The room is decently sized and the toilet includes all amenities and a bathtub. The front desk is a mix of local and foreign people who have a good command of many languages, and yes, even Tagalog (thank you Derik). While the winter season may not be an ideal place (walking frozen) for the hotel, there is the Sapporo Factory mall right in front and for less than 1000¥ by taxi, you can get to DAIMARU or other shopping areas around the city. This hotel can do better if it had room service 24/7. Aside from that, it was perfect in every way.

I stayed in a lot of Mgallery Collection Hotels but so far i would say Hotel Sosei Sapporo Mgallery is one of the best hotel of this brand. I would give perfect score on how the staff here treats their guest, from when we arrive at the hotel until when we check-out from the hotel, the staff is just wonderful, thoughtful, and helpful from the get-go. The best part? It applies to all of the hotel staff from their front office, restaurant, bar, and also the concierge. Not to mention they all speak very good English so we barely had miscommunication here. The hotel itself is cozy, reasonably priced, and located not too far from the train station which makes it centrally located. Our room is comfortable, spacious, the bed is comfy, and also the bathroom is clean with strong water pressure and high quality bath amenity. Big shout-out to Mai as the Front Office Manager who accomodate my requests and also the front office team especially the American guy who lived in Cali before (sadly i forget his name) who recommend us to a wonderful sushi restaurant in central Sapporo which makes me and my GF really happy. Also a big shout-out to the entire breakfast team who is very accomodating and thoughtful even though the breakfast itself is a bit subpar and definitely can improve a lot in the future. Compliment also to Mr. Aldo who accomodate all of our need for our room and prepare it beforehand. Also big compliment to the entire bar team for the wonderful service especially the Dassai Sake Testing (recommended) which we really enjoy as well. Overall, i would recommend this hotel for someone looking for great accomodation in the heart of Sapporo and especially someone with Accor status. If i ever go to Sapporo again, there is no doubt that Hotel Sosei Sapporo will be my first pick.

We arrived at this boutique Hotel in Sapporo( From London /Tokyo) before our 4 week exploration of Hokkaido. It is a new hotel in a refurbished factory building opening about 9 months ago, a short walk ( 15 minutes) from the station. A hotel catering for a global customer base. On arrival we were staggered by the incredible focus employees had on customers, there was always someone there to listen and deal with a broad range of issues relating to our vacation, employees at reception, the front door, bar,cleaning, and Breakfast were all very helpful and went far beyond anything we would have expected. This team effort was outstanding. We immediately felt very comfortable and welcome. That comfort/welcome meant we changed our plans ( see later) Our room was very clean, great bed, decent size, and quiet ( floor 5) The gym was small but had all the bits and pieces to satisfy us. Breakfast was outstanding and I believe the range of foods would fit most people’s needs( WIFI worked well everywhere in the building). There is no dinner service yet at the Hotel, they do provide small plates at the bar in the evening. I was told that they would open a ‘chefs table dinner’ sometime in the new year if they can get a high quality chef. In the complex across the road directly opposite the front entrance (75 yards away) there are many cafes that one can choose from in the evening, and of course there an abundance of outstanding restaurants in Sapporo. To conclude, the hotel was perfect for us, so much so that we changed our plans, used the hotel as our base, leaving Sapporo for 4 days and coming back for short breaks and then moving out again. We stayed at the hotel 3x while on the Island. We recommend the hotel to anyone who is coming on vacation or work. ( note we had purchased a JR rail pass that made our travels very easy, we stayed within a 350 mile radius of Sapporo). We also used our passes to get to Sapporo from Tokyo. My advice to the hotel management, keep your staff they are a huge plus, and a major differentiator for you, they are the reason we came back to the hotel again and again, and hopefully we will be back next year.

We had a great time staying at the Hotel Sosei Sapporo - MGallery Collection. The hotel was newly renovated and the decor is very beautiful. All the staff; from Bell person to front desk, gave us a very warm welcome and great service. Since, it was our 20th Wedding Anniversary, they kindly decorated the room and provided a lovely treat for us. Moreover, we'd like to give a special thanks to Ms. Mai Mukaibayashi; Front Office Manager, and her team for their kind assistance informing useful information, reserving the the table of the fine restaurant for us, and providing the best service for us during our stay. We had a wonderful time there and will definitely come back again soon.
