It was a very nice hotel experience. Rooms are more spacious than others. Filling breakfast, near train stations (like 2-3 mins walk only). Many restaurants around, especially the ramen street at the back. Also, 3-5 mins walk to the tram station. Very convenient so I highly recommend this hotel. Any cons, well some establishments are noisy late in the evening at times, and the mornings crows are very noisy haha.

I’m on a two night stay at the Holiday Inn Susukino in Sapporo. This is my third or fourth time at this hotel over the last several years. The hotel is located between the S4 road and the main road that runs to Sapporo Station. It is very much in the center of Sapporo nightlife. Rooms are warm and heat nicely in wintery Sapporo. The are well-appointed in earthy colors and I find them relaxing. The bathroom is typical of those in many budget class hotels in Japan. This is not a new hotel. But I’ve always thought it was a great value. The area does get some noise because it is the entertainment district (in all of its meanings), but the noise was not bad. I found check in to be easy and the front desk staff to be friendly (something very rare these days). Overall, I got a room for two nights for what it cost for one night in Kyoto a couple nights back. I’d be happy to stay at this hotel again.

Good location only 5 minutes walk from metro. Close to bars, restaurants and shopping mall all within easy walking distance. Quiet neighbourhood, although just a little bit noisy over the weekend but did not disturb our sleep. Staff helpful and pleasant, but, as with a lot of Japanese hotel staff not overly friendly. Small room and bathroom but expected in Japan, nice powerful hot shower and decent size bath.. Clean and well kept room. Only one minor problem with room safe which did take over one hour on arrival to resolve otherwise everything else during the stay was fine. There is a hotel bar but we did not use as there are outside bars close by. Would definitely stay again.
