My wife and I recently stayed here ,check in was quick and easy , rooms like most in Japan is small and tight for two people ,breakfast isn’t too bad and the location is easy walking to the main sights,transport,resturants and convenience stores, a laundromat’s is located close by ,the rooms definitely need an update .

“Didn't live up to first impressions”

The first impression on arrival was very positive. We waited in a nice lobby before check-in at 3pm when we were offered free coffee and snacks. The first impression on arrival was very positive. We waited in a nice lobby before check-in at 3pm when we were offered free coffee and snacks. The rooms were rather small for a couple with luggage and there was a curious arrangement with the bathroom at the end of the bed with a full-length window. There was a blind but if you turned on the bathroom light during the night the whole room was lit up. The rooms were clean but the biggest downside was the lack of any service in the evening. You couldn't eat or get a drink in the hotel which meant you had to go elsewhere in the evening after a full day's sightseeing.

“How the heck did I find this place?!”

While the ground floor level was very modern and nice, our room #1617 was in much need of a renovation. The "king" bed (twins put together), was hard as were the pillows. While the ground floor level was very modern and nice, our room #1617 was in much need of a renovation. The "king" bed (twins put together), was hard as were the pillows. The bathroom faucet was loose and turned with every use. The bath is a potential fall hazard. The tub being very deep and the need to step from a stair step into and out of the tub. Yikes! We could hear all the hallway noise. That said, the staff was great and that's what kept this review at 3 instead of 2 stars.

“An OK hotel. Rooms need a refurbishment.”

Our hotel room is outdated and in need of a refurbishment. This said, we found our room comfortable but small. Our hotel room is outdated and in need of a refurbishment. This said, we found our room comfortable but small. The lobby is nice and they offer complimentary non alcoholic drinks and snacks there each evening. Where breakfast is served is a bright, airy room and is a Japanese style buffet breakfast. There are very limited choices for vegans, only cow’s milk is provided. It is about a twenty minute easy walk from the Oriental to the Peace Park precinct. There is a regular bus service nearby the hotel to Hiroshima Station. The Reception Desk staff English was not that good.
