My friend recommended this hotel for my stay as his associated Company has been placing guests/friends at this hotel. Stayed 4 nights at this centrally located hotel. The rooms are standard typical size hotels in Japan. Expect good amenities. The hotel change the housekeeping procedure of guest rooms for consecutive nights. I think it is a good move to save the enviroment. I was pleasantly surprised that they provide a good bag of clean towels and amenities for the second night. The hotel is on the airport subway line,an added bonus. Many eateries and shopping malls are within 20min walk. The breakfast buffet is a good spread,available from 7-10am. I tried out the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. Ordered fried rice and sharksfin soup. The sharksfin soup was better than l expected. The hotel staff are friendly. I was impressed with Ms No Da as she was very patient with my enquiries as this is my first trip to Fukuoka. One major grouse is the charges the hotel levy for early check in. The check in time is 3pm and check out time 11am.My flight arrived very early. When l try to check in around 9-10am the quote was a full day rate. At 12noon,the rate was still exorbitant. I recognise this is a 24hour hotel but surely there should be a discount for good repeat customers/accounts. Did enjoy staying at this hotel celebrating their 50th anniversary.

The hotel was a grand, exceptionally decorated, well-and-fully-serviced accommodation located in the heart of Fukuoka. All wonderful restaurants and shopping malls are within a short walk. Room is decent a bit dated and Japanese- style small. Breakfast service was operating in the best of manner, with staff very friendly and warm while food spread wide & beyond mouth-watering. The erstwhile good wonders of Nishitetsu Grand Hotel is sadly offset by the very businesslike check-in & receptionist staff whose service was lukewarm if not bordering on dismissive. Personally, I understand that Japan is currently in the heat of tourism and to be fair, many international travellers esp Asian ones could be obnoxious. That said, the seemingly aloof attitude towards well-mannered decent travellers like my friend and I would be unjust, and I'd have to say the experience this time would have me staying away from any future visits. The original plan to not pick Hilton was mainly cos of its inconvenient location, but now I know a taxi ride would solve the problem and would have made my trip much nicer and better; than having had to face unwelcomed coldness instead when one is on vacation.

Located a few minutes walk from Tenjin bus station, it is a very convenient location. The hotel is a 1980 era feel hotel, the lobby, the rooms and the restaurant are all have the same feel. Check in was smooth, but the staff is a bit cool, which you do not expect in a Japan hotel. Our room is a bit larger than the average other room. The bathroom has the smell of unpleasant state. The room overall is dated, air conditioning control is simple, while amenities is sufficient. Breakfast is served in the restaurant in buffet style. Staff in the restaurant is generally better with smile on the face. Food choice and quality is generally of, but I got a fried egg which was sat in the warm light for some time. However, the egg was so tough that it reminded me of an eraser. I talked to one of the staff who is nice enough to bring me a freshly fried egg. Overall, the hotel needs refurbishment and an uplift of service standard.
