“As much as you can expect from a 1-star”

Affordable for Venice, and very convenient to the main train station (a few minutes walking distance). You can walk all over Venice from here. “Close to station”
This lovely little hotel is about an 8 minute walk from Venice Santa Lucia train station which was perfect. I wouldn't have fancied lugging cases up and down dozens of bridge steps. “🥴”
The location is great, there are many places to eat around. We stayed in a room for 4 people. We had air conditioning and more than one toilet to use (1 private and 2 shared). After the first night sleeping there, our bodies itched a lot! The reception was also weird and very informal 🥴

“Cheap and clean ”
If you’re on a budget then this is great, in a nice, quiet alley not far from the station and close to all attractions. Rooms are basic but clean. Air con noisy so bring ear plugs if you want to keep it on all night.
