“An authentic Aosta family hotel in a prime location”

This is a lovely family run small hotel. Our stay had the feel of a chalet holiday, intimate and relaxed. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a choice of traditional Aosta dishes each evening and there was always a good selection. The location is ideal- we could ski back to within a few metres of the door.

“Value stay in Cervinia, good location if at the right price”

Clearly management doesn’t read these reviews or care. Good central location Cons- Smell of smoke periodically permeates the reception area due to smoke from street or balconies Paper thin doors. Noise from reception/TV lounge No Mountain views, in spite of description in room type. Hotel surrounded by other buildings. No rooms have any attractive views. No safety deposit box, in spite of description in room type. Management says they are not needed. Toilet squeezed. No place to put your knees! Ergonomically insane Get what you pay for, so don’t overpay, then it’s ok. Breakfast was just satisfactory. Didn't appreciate the rotten fruit. Staff doesn't speak much English

The hotel is well located in the centre of town, with the Cretaz lift only 5 minutes walk away and close to ski hire shops, bars & restaurants. Supermarket & pharmacy 5 mins walk away. All rooms were on the first floor. Boot room on ground level by front door. (No heated boot racks) Our room was nicely decorated, and roomy enough but with no balcony, and storage space was limited - especially for two people. The pillows were hard. The TV had no English language channels available. No kettle. The shower room was nice - power shower with loads of hot water. Heating in the room was unpredictable - the radiator in our bathroom did not function. We were there on a half-board basis, and unfortunately the breakfast and evening meals were of below average standard. Breakfast was a simple continental affair with no hot food available. Ensure that you ask for real coffee, and not the instant coffee that was automatically offered. Evening meals were basic - a limited choice salad bar, and the 3 course menu was basic, with portion sizes sometimes needing supplemented by cold veg from the salad bar. No choice of dessert. Overall, the hotel was acceptable but the catering could definitely be improved upon.
