“Good hotel in a convenient location”

The hotel is located in a central but quiet spot of Cervinia. Close to the ski slopes and to the centre of town. The rooms are not big but have all the comforts for a good sleep. The bathroom does need to be renovated but it is acceptable. Bed are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the common area is very pleasant. Breakfast could do with some more fresh fruit and juices but it is varied and offers some home made cakes. Overall it is not a fancy hotel but convenient and at a decent price for the area. I would book there again.

I always read all the reviews with some scepticism and have learnt over the years to fairly accurately translate what is written. The last few bad reviews are clearly written by ignorant fools. This is my 6th year in Cervinia and my 6th different hotel, so I feel I have some experience. Yes, the beds are hard. But apart from that I was thrilled that there is a large bathroom with a large bath. After a days skiing I need to lie down and soak the muscles. Continental breakfast does not include hot food!! The coffee machine makes a great selection of delicious coffees and hot chocolate. The bread and baby croissants are delicious. And the beautifully thinly sliced ham and cheese are excellent. The price of drinks in the bar are very reasonable. We have found the owners to be charming, if you bother to make an effort you get good service. This is what it says it is. A 3 star hotel in a perfect location. With car parking. There just one criticism and that is a lack of hooks in the rooms to hang wet clothing. We are seriously thinking of booking here later this season.

After reading some of the other reviews we arrived with preconceptions of the hotel, which luckily we found to be unfounded in the context of what you pay to stay here on a B&B basis in comparison to other places in the town. What I'd say to a lot of the other reviewers is if you want more then expect to pay for it in this town. Yes you could view the accommodation as dated and tired if you wish. Alternatively you could do as we chose to do and look at it as old worldly and shabby chic and very Italian. If really soft beds are your thing then if our room was anything to go by then this place isn't for you. If your after a clean and warm place to put your head down and don't want to pay over the odds in the town then this place is for you. Our room on the 1st floor was spacious, with a good sized bathroom with an extra long bath and a massive shared terrace above the front door of the hotel. What it didn't have is enough hooks to hang and dry your gear. Yes the welcome wasn't the finest and warmest we've ever experienced, but the guy grew on us and when we asked for a drink from the unmanned bar he couldn't have been more attentive and brought us 2 cold beers and a host of nibbles into the sitting area at the front of the hotel. Our main complaint was that in all the games available in this area we didn't manage to find 1 of the 3 packs of cards that was a full set! so not much at all to complain about from our perspective. Yes, breakfast was basic continental with no hot options that we were aware of other than drinks, but ample for a few days - and you get what you pay for. We were the only Brits staying when we were there. It was full of telemarking Italians from all over the country, which gave the place even more of an authentic feel. Just a short walk away from the main chair lift up into resort. Boot warmers that worked in the ski room at the front of the hotel. And really well located just at the top of the main town street with its shops bars and restaurants. So if its upmarket and luxury you're after then this place isn't for you. You'll need to pay more for that. But, if it's getting what you pay for at the budget end of this town and you can accept this then I'd recommend this place.

“Small family run hotel close to lift, ski rentals and restaurants”

Very convenient location, close to lifts, shopping and restaurants. Clean and cozy hotel, good room size. Bathroom on the small side with old interior. . Breakfast lacking some healthy options but good coffee. Fantastic skiing area and almost no people on the mountains. Would come back.
