“Lunch at Camping Sirmione”

This is a review for the Ristorante at Camping Sirmione. We eat here most lunchtimes. Staff were really freiendly and the food choice was excellent. It was really nice to sit out every day and enjoy the world passing by.

A last-minute booking by phone via the most friendly receptionist, the warmest welcome on our arrival and a perfect plot for our camping car, Camping Sirmione delivered on every level. The facilities were beautiful maintained and clean, with direct access to the beach and lake, 2 minutes away. A very quiet campsite which was full of French, German and Italian guests - only heard another English person once! Perfect for a quiet stay at Lake Garda’s southern tip. Sirmione is worth a visit - we hired bikes for the day and the roads were very safe. Jamaica Beach is definately a place to go for the day, take your swimming gear because you won’t want to leave without bathing in the warm shallow waters. The bar has a very Carribean vibe and isn’t expensive considering the fabulous location. A great stay - thank you for having us. Vicky, Philippe and Magali.

“Great stay!”

Very nice camp, just next to the lake. Clean bathrooms and other facilities, friendly staff. The price was reasonable: 32 eur per night (10/adult and parking place for a van). Very good location for exploring Sirmione, 30min by foot to the city centre.

We had a 3 night stay here in our Motorhome on our first trip to Lake Garda, I wish it was longer. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. The park has loads of pitches, some bigger than others. The facilities are spotless clean and very modern. One block had loo roll in the cubicles and the other didn’t, this is just how these countries operate. There was a play park, a football pitch and three swimming pools. The water was freezing so we never went in. There is free wifi at the pool/reception area but this does not extend to the pitches. We’re with EE and our signal was good. The location is excellent for the 10 min walk to the new town where there are plenty restaurants, bars and a COOP supermarket which is well stocked. There is a shuttle bus you can get for €1.50 if you pay on the bus or €1 if you buy a ticket from the machines, which goes right round from the old town to the new town. It’s a nice 3km walk from the site to the old town or you can cycle. The old town is beautiful and well worth a visit. It was busy in September so god knows what it’s like in the summer. There’s also a good bus service to other towns from the new town. We ate in the restaurant but it wasn’t a nice experience. It was a Sunday and all they had was lasagne or pasta, the staff looked miserable. I had to send the lasagne back as it was cold in the middle. It wasn’t cheap either. One lasagne, and two coffee was over €20? There is a small shop at the back of the restaurant with essentials. I would definitely go back here again.
