Our stay at the Villa Scacciapensieri Boutique Hotel was the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and maintained to the highest standard. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and provided great service and advice. The breakfast selection and quality were excellent. The catering staff provided atttentive service. Because of the extensive grounds it is like being in a rural area, while only a short taxi or bus ride into Siena. The hotel has been in operation since the 1930's in a former elegant pallazo. We stayed for five nights, and wished it could have been longer. I give the Villa Scacciapensieri Boutique Hotel my highest recommendaton.

“The Staff makes Villa Scacciapensieri excellent”
My wife and I spent three nights here on our honeymoon trip to Italy. The villa is very nice, well-kept, clean and not too far from Siena and other small towns in Tuscany. My wife and I spent three nights here on our honeymoon trip to Italy. The villa is very nice, well-kept, clean and not too far from Siena and other small towns in Tuscany. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom especially was well-appointed. We truly enjoyed sitting in the lounge having aperitif and cocktails each night, and one night had a yummy dinner in the on-site restaurant. What I really want to highlight is the hotel's staff. In particular, Elena, who checked us in and was at the front desk our first two days, was absolutely wonderful. From showing us a map and marking parking and sites in Siena, to calling cabs for us (about 15 euro to Siena) but she truly went above and beyond finding a few activities for us to do on one of our days there. She researched and booked a private horseback ride which was great but what was OUTSTANDING was the private cheese tasting she arranged for us at Podere S. Anna Organic Caseificio Company based in Radi. The breakfast was very nice, and bacon and scrambled eggs are included with no extra charge if you ask for them. The rest of the staff was also excellent, we saw the same people each day and they all made us feel at home at Villa Scacciapensieri.

“Beautiful Siena”
Great experience overall. Clean rooms and great service. Frederica at the front desk was so helpful and attentive. Amazing views from the terrace and our room. Very relaxing atmosphere. Especially, after traveling all over Italy. It was nice to stop here and rest on a nice rustic, romantic place.

“Picture perfect…with some hitches”

We spent 6 nights here in August. The good…We loved the beautiful property and gardens. The staff were very friendly, especially Ruth and Betty serving a delicious breakfast every morning. The rooms were lovely. It was quiet and safe. A couple miles outside of Siena in a residential area. The bad… The tennis court is no longer playable and we chose this hotel as they had a court. The old air conditioning could not keep up with the summer heat so the rooms were uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. The hotel accidentally overcharged me at check out and has yet to issue a refund. I have had to involve my bank/credit card company to get my money back
