We had a car and needed parking and wanted a place close to city center as possible...this met all those reqs. But what I didn't know about was how lovely our stay would bein every respect. I've traveled a lot(51 countries) and have stayed in a lot of different situations and places. Ravizza is ideal for a couple visiting Siena for sightseeing. Couldn't have asked for anything more. And thr price is surprisingly low. Only suggestion would be that if you need an in-house bar/restaurant for your stay, go to Hotel Athena down the street instead. They also have free parking.

“Great hotel, good breakfast, wonderful view from patio garden.”

Wonderful hotel near western wall of historic city. Superior room had a sleeping loft so 2 children could have stayed in room. View from the patio garden is not to be missed (picture attached). Large breakfast of fruit, yogurt, pastries and a ham and cheese tart was really good. Siena is a hilly walkable city. Would definitely book the Ravizza again.

“Great accommodations in perfect location!”

Francesca is so accommodating and friendly. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The rooms are very clean and ours overlooked the garden and large space. “Classic, good breakfast”

Located a 10-minute walk from the Duomo, the Ravizza is an ideal getaway in Siena. The hotel has an elevator. Rooms are nicely-sized and imbued with history. The garden view rooms offer a spectacular vista of the Tuscan countryside. The city view rooms above the 3rd floor offer views of central Siena. If you have a car, it is convenient to leave it in their lot at EUR 10/day, which is accessible from the garden via stairs, or by walking around the block. Note that you can arrive and leave only once per day because the hotel is in the ZTL. The garden with a waterfall is a great amenity. You can have breakfast there or a glass of chianti after dinner in a private setting. The included breakfast is delicious with croissants, fruit and salami. Alas, no eggs. Another great breakfast place is Bar4Cantoni at Via di Citta 137. The service at the front desk was professional and the restaurant recommendations were outstanding. We did encounter some issues: the phone was broken when we checked in. The front desk sent a quick replacement but it was not a "hotel" phone, so we couldn't call the front desk again from the room. The showerhead did not always stay high on the shower pipe, so we had to keep moving it higher. But the water temperature and pressure were good. You can definitely hear other guests, not much sound-proofing in this old building. We always bring earplugs and recommend them here. Last is the bartender at the night bar with the colored blond hair - he was not nice when we ordered coffee and almost refused to serve us. These items knocked a bubble off what would have otherwise been a 5-bubble review. We would stay here again if we were coming to Siena with a car. Without a car, I would take a peek at others. Tip: Try too book directly with the hotel, not through another website. It is cheaper and there is an additional discount for paying in cash.
