Once we decided to go to Siena while already in Rome for four days, we decided to book only one night at first in order to decide once in Siena (although already visited there in the past but not overnight), weather the place justifies more than one day and weather the hotel is satisfactory enough for the same purpose. Well, it turned out that hell yeah, they both were. As we checked in, the friendly reception staff informed us that we have been upgraded to the best room in the hotel, the suit, for no additional cost. The suit turned out to be very spacious with two parts, a bedroom and a living room, without a door in between. The bedroom had a huge bed that turned out to be the most comfortable one could possibly imagine and the living room had a folding bed not as comfy, but good enough for the 14 years old princess. The whole unit was very warm and cozy, designed in a clean modern style in brown homy colors. The bathroom had a bathtub with the best shower head, a toilet and a bidet. In the living room there was a nice sitting area with two armchairs and a coffee table under a big, designed reading lamp. There was another armchair by the big bed in the bedroom and another chair at the desk, a big closet and plenty of space to hang clothes and the towels from the shower (I am going into such details here because to me these small things like sitting and hanging options are not taken for granted but yet make a great difference mostly in their absence). The prepaid breakfast was not one of the best for people (like us) who do not eat meet in the morning or pork at all. The variety of breads, cheeses, vegetables and baked goods was quite limited and not the best. The coffee from the machine was good and strong as coffee should be. The location of the hotel is good for whoever is travelling by car. It is a bit further away from the old town`s limited area (where you can`t go in without a special permit), easy to get to and has plenty of free parking spaces for the hotel's guests at all hours of the day. Once in the room we knew we wanted to stay for the rest two nights, and when we came back from the city center we asked the reception to extend our stay. Due to a conference that was about to be held in the hotel the next day, they couldn`t find us an accommodation for the next two nights, not to mention keeping us in the upgraded room, but it was worth waiting for the next morning when the manager came and got us to stay exactly where we were. The hotel has an outdoor pool that was not yet open and we didn`t get to see it, so no impressions regarding this. The lobby is large, warm and is a nice place to sit and have a drink or to grab a bite in the evening either at the hotel restaurant or at the bar. Everything including the room and the public areas seemed clean and well maintained. Touring the beautiful views of Tuscany knowing that we are going back to stay at the Four Points Hotel made the experience even more enjoyable and pleasant. Knowing that at the end of each day there was a smiling face awaiting at the reception, a warm shower or bath and a nice comfortable bed in a clean warm room, definitely upgraded our Tuscany experience.
