This apartment hotel is situated close to the Vatican and is convenient for nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel consists of apartments so you can your independence but within a hotel setting. Our accommodation was lovely. Bed was comfortable and plenty of storage space. The shower was powerful and the complimentary toiletries were decent. Breakfast was located on the top floor with views over the city. There was selection of cold meats, pasties and cakes which we stuck to as the ‘bacon’ looked unappealing and the eggs were often cold. All in all. - very good experience.

“A nice place to stay”

The hotel was great. The Customer service was excellent, they help us with all of our needs. The room was clean and spacious. Only one con is not enough dryers and washers. Overall, highly reccomended hotel when visiting Rome.

By far the best part was the location: we were able to walk to most places like the usuals - Vatican Museum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain etc. but also Trastevere and the Jewish Quarter. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay. By far the best part was the location: we were able to walk to most places like the usuals - Vatican Museum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain etc. but also Trastevere and the Jewish Quarter. The location really couldn't have been better. The apartment we rented was quite spacious, clean,and comfortable. The breakfast included in our stay was just right. The hotel seemed to cater to guests with kids and/or large families, but, with the exception of breakfast or when passing through the lobby, the was very little noise. A few things which could be improved: - the fitness center is not adequate; it is common for hotels to advertise that they have a "fitness center" when, in fact, they offer only a few machines thrown in a room. This was the case here: a squeaky treadmill, a bike, and some weights in a basement room. The room was also not suitable for exercise since there was no functioning air conditioning. We ended up buying a four day membership at Omega Fitness Club - a fully equipped, clean, and air conditioned gym less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. If you are a fitness enthusiast, we would STRONGLY recommend this gym. We paid 60 Euros per person for an all access four day pass. The Trionon Hotel management would do well to consider a partnership with Omega so that guests are able to take advantage of real fitness center during their stay. - As another guest commented below, we were expecting slightly more and higher quality amenities. At the very least, the reception should be open 24/7. On one occasion we went down to the reception desk just before 8am and only the maintenance man (who spoke no English) was sitting there and unable to help us. On another occasion, I asked the receptionist if she could recommend some restaurants in Trastevere and she told me to come back later. On still another occasion, I kindly asked the receptionist if she would take some postcards I had written and stamped and have them mailed. She said she couldn't because she "didn't have time." We've stayed in dozens of hotels throughout our travels all over the world and this is the first time the hotel reception refused to mail our postcards (to be clear, this means that they simply put our postcards with their outgoing mail for pick-up by the postman whenever he/she picks up the hotel's regular mail). Mailing our postcards would not require any time or effort on the hotel's part. It is simply a courtesy, and was in this case one that was not provided. All in all, we would consider staying here again, especially if the above improvements were made. It’s a good hotel for the value, especially if you want to stay in a convenient location.
