The location near the Spanish steps is fine and the many excellent restaurants nearby are a good bet. The Annex, not the main hotel, where we stayed was clean, recently renovated, quiet and good. We stayed in room 305 and our only criticism is that it could have used another few lights (wall, ceiling, or stand). The room was quiet, clean, well kept. The frig was spacious and the bathroom was clean and large. The staff at the main hotel were courteous, helpful, and always willing to help. We definately would stay here again on another trip to Rome.

“Great room, great location!”

Vincenzo was incredibly helpful and sweet! the rooms were clean and nice. I would definitely recommend this place! it was a fantastic location. We walked everywhere! There was also a really great coffee and pastry shop nearby!

Check-in: Lovely staff to greet you and help you to get around the city, one young gentleman at the desk told us some really nice places to go for breakfast and dinner. He was very kind and polite, I can't remember his name though unfortunately! Room: We were given a nice room with enough space for the two of us to get ready for the day/night without there being any problems. Our luggage was out of the way and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was pleasant enough as well. We were not expecting a view of Rome as such as we were planning on seeing the city close up rather than from our window. The view was basically of another building which wasn't a problem for us at all. It might be for others but you can't really expect to see the whole of the city from the third floor of dated building. Our rooms were always cleaned very well by the staff, they did a great job every day of our stay. Extra: The staff must have noticed that it was my partner's birthday whilst we would be at the hotel. We were left a nice bottle of wine and glasses which was a lovely touch and completely unexpected. We really appreciated this gesture, it shows how nice the people are who work at the hotel.

So I was visiting Rome with my cousin for a 2 night girls trip and we had a strict budget for our hotel. For this budget, we could only mainly find apartments or air b n b type places. We then found Stay Inn in on booking.com which not only met our budget but also appeared to be a hotel rather than an an apartment so I booked straight away.  However, despite it being advertised in this way and even having a reception desk at the establishment, it was in fact only apartments and had no reception on site. After some time of waiting, a gentleman came down to greet us and told us to follow him to check in. He told us that the Stay Inn was a part of another hotel called Hotel Condotti (which I knew before booking), however I didn't know that this meant we had to check in there and that if we needed anything we'd have to call up this hotel or physically go there.  So off we went with this guy to check in to our hotel via this other hotel which we were quite annoyed about. What's the point of having a reception desk at our actual hotel if it isn't going to be used? Very deceptive. We had no idea where we were going, it was raining, this guy was walking way ahead of us (with an umbrella for himself and not us may I add lol) to this other hotel which ended up being a 3/5 min walk away. When we arrived to hotel Condotti we then had the pleasure of being told our room wasn't ready yet despite me messaging them our flight times via booking.com so we had to come back in 3 hours to check in. Not a big deal but it would have been nice if we could have freshened up a bit before beginning our exploration of Rome. This also meant we couldn't go too far away to see much because we were worried about our luggage and wanted to get back asap. Good job we like shopping as the hotel is a 5 min walk from the Spanish Steps and all the shops.  We then went back when our room was ready at 3 only to find out that we had not been given the code to enter the building so we then had to go back to hotel Condotti to get this and walk back again. All in all, if I had known this up front, I probably wouldn't have booked because I wanted a hotel experience and this certainly wasn't what I got.  On the upside though the rooms were nice, clean and modern, had a fridge which came in very handy and was in a good location for exploring the city of Rome (35 mins from Vatican, 30 from colosseum, 10 from Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and 5 from Spanish steps). As it's a small hotel, we could hear when the rooms next door were entering/leaving and even when they had their hairdryer on but we still had a comfortable stay and I would stay again if I had a very strict budget and now know how it is set up. The rooms look as they do in the pictures also.
