“Peaceful stay near Rome”

We walked the Via Francigena and because of the extreme heatwave we were very early. The staff was friendly to accomodate us early. THANK YOU SO MUCH. We walked the Via Francigena and because of the extreme heatwave we were very early. The staff was friendly to accomodate us early. THANK YOU SO MUCH. The rooms was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we need! The staff assist us with Lunch and Dinner in the most beautiful rooms. We had a early checkout and again, the staff provide us with a lovely packed meal. THANK YOU!! This Hotel is situated in a Residential area, which is quiet and very safe, BUT this made it far from any Restaurant, Cafe’s and Bars / Trattorias. The swimming pool was out of order, this would be lovely in the extreme heat

I have friends you live in a nearby small apartment. They suggested another place for me to stay, but I was unsure of it, because it had a curfew. I did some research and decided on La Rocchetta. It's located in a residential area behind a gate resulting in quiet, relaxing, and birdsong-filled neighborhood. The rooms are spotless and while not luxurious, they are certainly very comfortable. On top of all this, the owner is incredibly nice. One time, despite arriving between lunch and dinner, the staff whipped me up a great meal at a very reasonable price. With that kind of service, it always feels like home. Stay here. You won't regret it.

“Nice hotel in a small town”

This is a bit off the beaten path but was a pleasant oasis once we arrived. Rooms were clean and spacious (for Europe); lovely lobby; excellent hostess who spoke good English and was very helpful in finding a restaurant. Would have been nice if they had some free bottled water rather than the vendi… more

This is a bit off the beaten path but was a pleasant oasis once we arrived. Rooms were clean and spacious (for Europe); lovely lobby; excellent hostess who spoke good English and was very helpful in finding a restaurant. Would have been nice if they had some free bottled water rather than the vending machine outside the lobby. That detracts a lot from the vibe. Still it’s a very nice place.

“Reasonable location on edge of Rome, ok for one night and no more”

Slightly out of the way, an old villa down a residential side street. We were at the end of our walk on the Francigena, so any bed is welcome. To be fair, the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom rather tired (gaps between tiles need attention), as was the rest of the building. Fellow travellers… more

Slightly out of the way, an old villa down a residential side street. We were at the end of our walk on the Francigena, so any bed is welcome. To be fair, the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom rather tired (gaps between tiles need attention), as was the rest of the building. Fellow travellers had a faulty keycard and a leak in their bedroom). Had an odd vibe, maybe looking for an identity, and not sure if it was a hotel, hostel or B&B, which hasn’t had any attention for the last 20 years. Didn’t feel particularly inviting. Breakfast was mediocre, machine coffee, nothing special.
