Just returned from an absolutely wonderful 4 days in Rome , staying in room 101 in this beautiful hotel. The hotel is right next to the Spanish Steps and overlooks the Piazza Spagna. The suite was superb, really good size . Large bathroom, entrance reception , large bedroom and dressing room. The breakfast, which was generous , was delivered to the room, each morning, by a really pleasant and polite young lady. All the staff in this hotel are exceptionally helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend booking this hotel. Look no further for a delightful experience and an amazing location in Rome.

This b & b is on the first floor (one up from the ground floor) in the second pink building to the left of the Spanish Steps. There is a lift available. The location is right in the middle of the famous Piazza di Spagna and super convenient. The taxi drop off is a short walk down the street and the main subway terminal is literally a 1-minute walk around the corner of the building. The three ladies who staff the Relais Pierret are charming, accommodating and very courteous. Our Superior Room stay in the "cream and gold" 2-person room was adequate. It does not overlook the Spanish Steps as advertised, but rather faces out to other nearby rooms in an enclosed space. The room itself is very small for two if you have suitcases - no where to put them but on the floor and step over to get into bed or to the bathroom. The bathroom is fine (lacks space, shelves and hooks for clothes), and odd in that there is no shelf in the shower to place toiletries -- you just have to put them on the floor. Younger travelers might enjoy the multi-colored shower lights and the view from the bed. There was a noticeable odor in the room while we visited that made our clothes smell -- some reviews have mentioned sewer issues under these buildings, not sure if that's the cause. The morning breakfast was a delightful mix of the usual fare plus eggs cooked to order-- served on a silver tray to your room by the young lady who prepared it. A very gracious stay, super-clean room, excellent linens, primo location. Would return again.

“Great location, comfortable”
Nice rooms within yards of the Spanish Steps and the Spagna Metro station. Cafes and restaurants on the lanes across the street. The location is hard to beat. No services here, only a comfortable room.

Everything about this gem is amazing bar one very important detail which I’ll come onto shortly. It’s very low profile, taking up the first floor of an old but beautiful building between the Metro and the Steps themselves, the location couldn’t be more prefect. You enter a lobby that looks like an international embassy, very elegant. Check-in is quick and polite and all the rooms are off this breezy corridor. The room we had was a great size, I’d hate to think what it would cost in a similar location, in NY, Paris or London. Again cool elegance was the norm, the bathroom was as big as the room itself and was at this point, astonishing, no faults at all from me so far. The one issue I had became apparent later that evening. Arriving back around 11pm, I proceeded to enter the bathroom, it overlooks a small courtyard along with the surrounding (very close) buildings. Prior to turning the light on (there are large floor to ceiling windows with nothing more than net curtains) I noticed a red dot not too far away. Thinking someone was pointing a laser at me, I investigated. Not twenty feet away was a man having a cigarette on a small balcony, across and one floor up, the red dot! Had I turned on the light like countless others must have before me, and ‘carried on with my business’ everything would have been in full view! The toilet was exactly in his line of vision! So, darkened ablutions it was to be then! This may seem a small point, maybe more to do with me being British rather than continental European but ‘toilet things’ are best done alone are they not? Maybe it’s just me but I’d request a room without the audience feature next time!
