Had an amazing time over a week early in July. Staff were really helpful and kind and the hotel was really bright and clean. There is a supermarket 3 mins walk to your left as you exit the hotel and another one about 5 mins further pass that. A really beautiful part of rome just outside the city and into the beautiful suburbs so plenty of green spaces to walk around within 10/15 mins walk of the hotel. 5 mins either side exit of the hotel are late night shops/cafes which I believe are open till 3:30am/open all night. Clubs and bars open till 4:30/5/5:30am on a Friday & saturday just a few bus stops down the road, particularly via di grottarossa, rome area so you don't have to pay city centre/tourist extortionate prices for a good night out at the weekend in rome if how the locals like to club takes your fancy. Transport into the city centre a bus 223 takes you to the beautiful Corso di Francia from where you can take either a c3 (Fridays & Saturdays till 5pm only) to the city centre or a bus 52/53 from nearby which are almost your own bus tour of rome and pass somewhere nearby most of the main tourist attractions in rome. Alternatively a 15 min walk or 3 stop bus ride takes you up to the nearest train station which is then an 8 stop (about 3-4 mins per stop) journey to the Vatican (rome city centre.) From my very first journey to my last I never had to pay for transport in rome on bus, tram or train and despite that I thought rome's public transport system was really good. Checkout is at 12pm so make sure you book your transfers for before then but as this was my very first ever trip I had booked for myself I made the mistake of booking a late flight arrival and departure (hence how I found the late night shops and bars) but the staff were really really helpful and apart from a couple of really polite knocks on my door during the day they let me stay in my room till 7pm. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND THIS OR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIER KINDNESS but since they were so polite, nice and genuine I promised myself I would write a review of the hotel and all the wonderful things I found to do and occupy myself with in rome. So yes, Regal Park hotel, highly recommended.
