We spent 2 nights last weekend at the Parco dei Principi, Rome. The service we received was excellent!! Unfortunately our flight was cancelled 2 hours before our departure from the UK, however, I called the concierge at 4am to tell them we were on a different flight and they were fabulous!! Our transfer was there ready and waiting. The hotel had our room ready and waiting at 11am in the morning! Housekeeping was immaculate and the reception staff were just 5*! The outdoor pool was a wonderful release from the heat last weekend. Even though the hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the city centre, we found it a perfect location. We will definitely return!! Thank you Parco dei Principi!

Stepping through the foyer of this hotel is like stepping back in time. With its elegant and lavish furnishings, together with its well-informed, polite and smartly dressed staff, you cannot fail to be impressed. They literally could not do enough to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. The bedrooms are traditionally furnished as you would expect from a hotel of this calibre, but came complete with great air-conditioning, fridge, safe, bathrobe and slippers as well as lovely toiletries. We were lucky enough to have a balcony which overlooked the stunning swimming pool, and our room was very quiet. Food around the pool as well as at breakfast was excellent and the service was superb. The swimming pool and grounds are elegant and peaceful, and the hotel is just a 25 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, but you could be a million miles away from Rome as it feels so tranquil here. The biggest surprise is the amazing spa underneath the hotel which has to be seen to be believed. It is as modern as the hotel is traditional - we were just sorry that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it! I honestly cannot praise this hotel highly enough, and we cannot wait to go back next year!

Wonderful historical hotel with a beautiful large inside and outside pool. It is definitely worth taking the rooms overlooking the park (villa Borghese), dominating a sea of greenery and St Peter dome afar. We reserved the cheaper non refurbished rooms which were luxurious but slightly outdated, particularly the bathrooms. I asked to visit the newly refurbished rooms which are definitely up to five star international standards. If I were to reserve again, I would go for the refurbished rooms. Overall a wonderful family week with our teenage daughters who really enjoyed the pools.

Had a a fabulous 3 night stay here. We deliberately chose this hotel for the pool as Rome was super hot at the time of year we went. We headed out every morning at 8 830 for the sights and had a few hours by the pool in the afternoon it was perfect. Decor is stunning like stepping back in time. Room was gorgeous with one of the most comfiest hotel beds I have stayed in. Bathroom had all the toiletries you would need, comp water every day, full minibar, bathrobes etc. It was lovely. Breakfast was fabulous with fizz if you were inclined. Pool area was stunning lots of loungers and great food and drink service. The hotel is a good 35/45 minute walk from sights, we didn’t mind this in the day but taxied at night circa 20E to get into town so it’s just something to consider. As others have mentioned the prices in the hotel were ridiculously high. We ate is some amazing restaurants and hotel bars in the main city and didn’t pay as much. It probably puts people off buying as much and probably why the bar in the evening is incredibly quiet so we never drank there in the evening. If you want a pool I would highly recommend, I preferred it over the Cavilerie.
