Lovely B&B in a real local Italian area, lovely pizzeria 1 minute walk away. Very easy to get to the centre of Rome from here, 1 bus and 1 metro ride away, public transport excellent and very cheap. Rooms are clean and basic but fantastic for the price we paid, super cheap. Beds very comfortable, fresh towels every day too. The owner very kindly let us use their phone to ring our kids, so kind of them! Couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

I enjoy places in big cities out of center and big crowds where you arrive at night and see no people around, that's exactly an experience that you can find in Il Romitello. I enjoy places in big cities out of center and big crowds where you arrive at night and see no people around, that's exactly an experience that you can find in Il Romitello. Despise being far from the center there's a lot of bus options, metro and the car way is not tricky at all. Enjoy a good breakfast and find hospitality from a nice staff in there!

“New surprise”

I'm an italian living abroad (Berlin) and I have the change to stay at Romitello in the last week for a couple of days. What can I say? I saw a real transformation. The garden was peaceful and resting, it was nice spending some time just sitting there, reading. The room was ok, clean and not too small, but the breakfast, oh my, it was so good. If you stay there, I recommend to try the cake: you will not regret it. An extra star for the service: I want to have to such a nice and welcoming waitress in Berlin too!

I liked it in general. But you need to be prepared to use the public transit system if you are a tourist, and not taxis. Taxis into the parts of rome most people visit are in the €25-30 range. I liked it in general. But you need to be prepared to use the public transit system if you are a tourist, and not taxis. Taxis into the parts of rome most people visit are in the €25-30 range. Getting a taxi back at night is complicated because some drivers will turn you down. One had to call and verify the address and how to get there. Conveniently, there is a bus stop about three blocks up. Buying tickets is easy. You can stop in at any tobaccoist, but you're better off getting them at a self service machine using coins. Then validate it when you get in the bus using the yellow machine even though no one else does. It's crucial. If you stay here, this is the key to enjoying rome. Otherwise, transportation is cost prohibitive. My only other issue is that the fan didn't cool the room sufficiently. Otherwise the staff was kind, the grounds were lovely and quiet, and I enjoyed that the building was once a convent. It died the purpose of my visit well. As a side note: if you book through priceline, don't be surprised when you aren't charged up front anyway and the booking still goes to them through booking.Com. it led to a great deal of confusion.
