“The perfect vibe for a visit to Rome”

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a perfect place to chill after a day of touring Rome. Service and rooms were excellent in every category. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a perfect place to chill after a day of touring Rome. Service and rooms were excellent in every category. The decor creates a vibe that defines a European boutique hotel. We used the lobby bar for morning coffee and later for a glass of wine when meeting friends. The breakfast area was quite and the breakfast was a good way to start the day. We had an excellent dinner on the rooftop as the sun set. Picture perfect!

The rooftop bar was lovely, bit pricey, but frankly that's probably normal. All the staff were great. One even spotted us on he street as he was coming in and stopped to hold the door open for us! And of course they spoke perfect English but appeared to appreciate my attempts at Italian

“2 nights in Rome”

4th time we have stayed here, hotel is conveniently located for walking to numerous restaurants in Trestervere. The rooftop bar is beautiful, breakfast is fresh cooked based on your selection. We will stay again next time we are in Rome; they arranged taxi on time for return to FCO.

I would never pay over $200 per night for a 3 star hotel in Italy in a room that doesn't include breakfast, but since it was the origin for our tour, I bit the bullet and ended up spending 400 euros for 2 nights, feeling like we had been taken advantage of. When we arrived early in the day after our flight, we were told there was a room ready if we paid an extra 15 euros more per night. Talk about cheap nickel and diming! Fortunately, I had not paid even more (10 euros/pp) for the available breakfast, though it was experienced during our tour, and was measly and unsubstantial; not a buffet which is typical of most Italian hotels I have stayed in annually. The room was quite small, with little room to maneuver. The television was the size of a laptop, and though I don't go to Italy to watch tv, it was not an option anyway, as the remote did not work. New batteries were put in, but it did not make a difference. On the other side of the wall by the bed was the next room's bathroom, and I could hear the shower and toilet flushing as I tried to sleep at night. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all questions before and during our stay. This was not enough of a service to justify what we paid. There doesn't seem to be much hotel competition in Trastevere, and perhaps that was the reason for it being overpriced for what it was.
