We stayed here for 4 nights. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff. Reception staff were always very helpful and kind. They were supportive with taxi bookings and information about areas in the city. The hotel has an excellent booking facility for taxis. For €12 you can get a taxi to the centre. Nearby are buses and over the river you can get a metro direct to Colosseo. The room we stayed in was an Executive room. It was well appointed with a bath and shower and an excellent firm and comfortable bed. One thing of a slight challenge was no mirror at the table. For drying hair, straightening etc you need to do this in the bathroom which has no electric fan. The bathroom door opened in and outwards which was a handy feature. Bath robes and slippers were provided along with a variety of pillows. All very good. We only ate for breakfast. This was very good indeed. Staff will serve you coffee and there is self serve for cold meats, fruit, bread, cereals, cakes and eggs. Staff around breakfast were always happy and positive. The cleanliness at reception, in toilets and in the bar was excellent. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel and there is a lovely outdoor area for drinks. The pool was closed as we visited when out of season, but this looked lovely. Staff are a massive strength in this hotel. The surrounding local area is excellent. We ate in three different local restaurants close to the hotel that offered great value. We were very surprised about the comments about the surrounding area from previous reviews. The surrounding area is excellent with local bars, restaurants, gelato stores and supermarkets. The "safely" concern comments from previous reviewers are totally unjustified and borderline racist in our opinion. Overall this was a great base to explore Roma. Fantastic staff, clean rooms and excellent breakfast options. Prosecco was left in our room when this coincided with my birthday. Lovely and thoughtful. Well done to all staff at H10 Roma Citta.

“Amazing hotel”

We arrived for 3 night stay, we was greeted by very friendly & helpful staff who got us all booked in and gave us all the information for the area and about buses and taxis. Also you will have to pay a tourist tax and for us 3 for 3 nights it was €66 euros. The hotel is about 20 mins away from all Rome's attractions. There is a bus stop about 5 mins walk that can take you into central Rome or the hotel can offer a taxi voucher which is set for €12 each way and takes about 15 mins in light traffic. Room was very spacious with a king sized bed and it also had a very good bath room with little extra touches like toothbrush kits, shave kit. There was modern TV that you can attached your phone too stream your media. There was a coffee machine and a mini bar which is chargeable to take items out. We had breakfast for all the days we where there and there was plenty to choose from like cereals, yoghurt, pastries. We had 1 meal at the hotel and was really good and well priced. Near the hotel there is plenty of shops, restaurants, takeaways, cafes, pharmacy and a supermarket. The pool on the roof is a nice touch and has some nice views and has a bar and there is also a gym up on the same level. We got the train from the airport to Rome Trastevere which took about 30mins, from the station the hotel is another 15 mins walk. We walked as we only had backpacks.

“A better "Roman Experience" can be had elsewhere.”

The location of the hotel is not very nice. There seems to be a sketchy, perhaps homeless population immediately to the side and rear of the hotel. The location of the hotel is not very nice. There seems to be a sketchy, perhaps homeless population immediately to the side and rear of the hotel. Also, it is not conveniently located near popular destinations in Rome center. Also, on one occasion my electronic card key was deactivated. This of course is a very trivial problem and almost not worth mentioning. The problem is that when I presented the key to the front desk they asked me "Did you have the key next to your phone?" At that point the young lady looked at me like "Well?". I told her didnt know if my key was next to my phone, simply that it doesnt work. I told her that the front desk should tell clients not to put the card by the phone (if in fact that was the problem). She replied "Yeah , I guess". I have been to many hotels in Rome over the years. This attitude was new to me in Rome (this hotel was booked for me as part of a conference). I have not encountered it before. It surprised me. I think that the difference may be that this hotel seems to cater to large tour groups. It is more of a "tourist factory". You will get much better, more personal service in the smaller hotels in the center of Rome. I would not recommend this hotel.
