“Perfect Hotel in Rome, Service, Rooms, Breakfast and Location!”

We stayed in the Demetra Hotel in Sept this year. The hotel is in a perfect location: 10 minute walk from the main rail terminus in Rome (easy, cheap and quick Leonardo Express journey from airport to centre of Rome). All staff without exception, reception, housekeeping, breakfast etc were welcoming, friendly, helpful, professional and efficient. The rooms and all area on the Demetra were spotless, our rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. The bathrooms were spacious with good water pressure and hot water for showers. A safe in the room with tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and fridge were also a welcome find in the room. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and plenty of freshly cooked, prepared dishes including fruit and pastries etc. Good coffee and tea options. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Rome, a beautiful city to explore on foot. The hotel is near the sightseeing bus routes, there is a small supermarket next door and a good bar/cafe/restaurant two minutes away. Although centrally located with these good amenities next door, the rooms were quiet and a good nights sleep was guaranteed. Many thanks for an excellent stay to everyone in the Demetra Hotel, we will certainly return and can highly recommend a stay here. Thank you, Jill & Warren xx

My wife booked this hotel for a weekend away for my 50th birthday. The hotel was brilliant from start to finish. The room was lovely and clean and cleaned daily. Very modern. Air con a treat as outside temperature were 40 degrees. Bathroom had the best shower. Reception staff were very lovely and friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great, with a great selection of cold and hot dishes to suit all tastes. And finally the location was perfect. With walking distance to all attractions.

The location is the main plus for this hotel. The location is the main plus for this hotel. Small walk from Termini train station and then within walking distance of Trevi fountain, colosseum etc. The hotel itself is quite small and the rooms are small but we found them at least clean and they were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided daily. It can be noisy at times our room view was over air con or kitchen exhausts at the side of the building and the air con in the room is a bit of a mystery comes on and off with having no control over it. Breakfast room is again small but food that was on show was adequate and the staff were very nice and helpful. The main flaw for us was possibly the shower. It was not well lit up and the drainage was very poor. When we showered we had to be quick as possible because after 4 or 5 minutes the water was above your ankles and in danger of overflowing onto the bathroom floor. But all in all a decent and affordable place to stay for taking in the site's of Rome.

I wouldn't classify this as a 4☆ Hotel but apparently the staff at the front desk said to me that because its right in the Rome City Centre that's why its classified as a 4 ☆ which confused me because that's not how you would rate a hotel. I wouldn't classify this as a 4☆ Hotel but apparently the staff at the front desk said to me that because its right in the Rome City Centre that's why its classified as a 4 ☆ which confused me because that's not how you would rate a hotel. This is a very basic hotel. The aircon and pillows were good in our room but the bed was quite hard so it wasn't that comfortable because of this. The bathroom was basic too not 4 star level. The loud hoover from the cleaning lady woke me up a couple of days that week as early as 730am, as she was vigorously cleaning and moving beds and furniture whilst hoovering the room beside ours. It was inappropriate to clean that early as naturally people are still sleeping. All the Filipino staff were all so friendly and polite. Alvin, Lyn, Queen and Joyce. Always greeted me with a radiant smile and a Good Morning, Good evening, and Hello, but the Italian Staff just look at me and my family seriously and stoically. I was the one who kept on saying to them Buongiorno! Up to our last day , the Italian Receptionist just looked at me . I looked back at her and said Thank you so much we enjoyed our stay. But nothing from her , no communication it was so impolite and unwelcoming. Its unprofessional from Hotel staff not to greet your clients. I must say though that the Italian Staff making the coffees who worked with MaryJane in the Breakfast hall was lovely. She said to me Hello Madam what would you like ? Coffee, hot chocolste? And as she served my coffee she said Enjoy. Such a professional staff. The others need to learn from her. I hope this gets feed back to them so they can improve. Coz customer care is everything in Hotel and Restaurant mgt
