Yes it is extravagant but it was so worth it for a truly amazing Roman stay. We stayed in Deluxe Suite Rosetta (Room 311). It’s located in a nearby building (2 minute walk door to door tops) from the main hotel building. The view of the Pantheon from our large window (it opens fully) was outstanding!! The piazza makes for great people watching. Please note that it can be a bit noisy at night but it quiets down. The suite was so spacious for our five day stay. There is a small sitting area in the room before the main bedroom. Beautiful wood rafters make up the ceiling (building is hundreds of years old). One of the most comfortable beds , sheets and pillows I’ve ever experienced. There was a small kitchen and refrigerator. Wonderful pod espresso machine with pods (also drinking water in bottles ) refreshed every day. Bathroom was very nice ; high end toiletries products from Milan. Room service was excellent. All of the staff we encountered were so professional and knowledgeable. Christina at the front desk was outstanding. Breakfast was in the main hotel building (great coffee made to order). It’s an older building so space is a bit tight in the breakfast area; however , it was still enjoyable. They have the full honeycomb stand set up at the buffet- so delicious. The location is right in the piazza of the Pantheon. There is a nearby taxi stand and you are within walking distance to many sites ( Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, Vicus Caprarius , etc.).

The room was so comfortable and luxurious. The ceiling was high, the bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave, and if I could have taken the shower home with me I would have! The staff were so pleasant and so welcoming. I will definitely be back!

“Bella Roma, bello hotel”
Ideal location, excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed. Close to very good restaurants. The staff were very responsive and friendly! We walked all over Rome from the hotel, but of course the centeal location means it can get noisy and busy.

We fell in love with this hotel back in 2017, making this a tricky review to write. It’s like comparing apples with oranges! But we’d return to this hotel in a heartbeat - it’s in our favourite location in Rome. The hotel was renovated during Covid, giving it a completely different feel this time around. I remember terracotta floors, a quirky layout, and a more open lobby (the internal staircase has since been enclosed). The hotel is now carpeted, has a grey colour scheme, and the breakfast room has moved. It took a while getting used to the grey, but I’m guessing inspiration was taken from the Pantheon - some of the shades are a perfect match. Last time we stayed in an annexed Apartment. Our rooms had a small balcony directly facing the Pantheon (it’s one of our all-time favourite hotel memories for that very reason). This time we stayed in the hotel complex - still a fantastic view from a waist-height window, but there’s nothing like sitting at a balcony for hours with a glass or two of wine, watching the action below, the unforgettable sound of the pedestrian-only piazza buzzing through the air. Rooms 308 & 306 were comfortable, well appointed, stylishly decorated, and both had that amazing view. Our floor was a little slopey - charming evidence of this being the oldest hotel in Rome. The bathroom, whilst modernised, was a little disappointing. There was very little storage/bench space and no towel rails. (It would be good if hooks & rails were installed on the spare wall). There was also an occasional ‘drain’ smell. The service was consistently excellent - particularly at breakfast. (The only hotel during this trip that got a pot of tea right, each & every time.) The selection of food was good too. The seating was a little cramped though - our party of 4 chose to sit at different tables. It wasn’t too busy in January, but could be a bit squeezy during peak season. We stayed 4 nights, which gave us a few bonus inclusions: a bottle of bubbles, one free mini bar round, and a small fruit platter. In hindsight, the Covid carpet upgrade could have been better considered. Whilst good for noise dampening, it felt a little stale. Maybe it was because of winter - central heating & less fresh air circulating? I was surprised there weren’t any air diffusers or scented candles in the lobby/breakfast areas. There are so many fabulous landmarks to stay near in Rome. The Pantheon piazza has its own unique feel, and is within walking distance of all the major sights. I look forward to staying here again one day.

We were very happy with the location of this hotel, and the room was exactly as pictured. However, we paid for 3 guests and continually had to request a towel for the third guest. Also, the shower leaked all over the bathroom. The front desk never answered the phone so we walked down and spoke with them. After we raised these issues with the front desk they stopped greeting us and were rude when we would interact with them. If this hotel wants to charge a premium, the amenities and customer service needs to also be at a premium level. Based on our experience, we personally wouldn’t stay here again. There is too much competition in Rome to stay anywhere average, particularly at this price point.
