Long weekend for 6 ladies. We wanted somewhere classy, beautiful to look at and perfect for us. This definitely fitted the bill. From the moment we arrive at the hotel we were treated so well, the staff at reception couldn't do enough to help. The weather was rubbish, very wet but this didn't put us off. We had planned a tour for the day we arrived on Segways but really wet, so the Concierge phoned and rebooked for us, before we had even hot in our rooms so we didn't have to worry about it. They also recommended fabulous restaurants, not disappointed. The rooms lovely, they are elegant to match the hotel not uber modern, good bed, traditional bathroom. Reviews have commented on noise, yes trams go up and down but unless the windows are open we didn't really notice that much,and we all live in houses where there is no traffic so would notice. Breakfast lovely. Bar staff very attentive as well. We used the courtesy bus to full advantage. Our departure again sorted by reception staff. Faultless. Would definitely go back, stay longer and in warmer dry weather.

“Great location and lovely staff”

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. It is in a great location, close to city centre that you can easily walk but away from the hustle and bustle. I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. It is in a great location, close to city centre that you can easily walk but away from the hustle and bustle. Right next to park so a lot of green and if you like to go for a run in the morning it is the perfect place. Breakfast is great, staff super efficient and nice. Was a bit disappointed with the quality of the dinner though. Room nice (just a bit on the warm side) with all that you require; I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome and will surely return. The people are super friendly and very helpful - which is very important.

What's really cool with that place is hotel team. All of them were doing their best, really warm welcome, thanx for that! BUT... Hotel requires full renovation. It so happened that during 2 nights stay we changed 3 rooms (photos attached are according to our last one). In the first room we couldn't sleep all night because of tram plying every 10 minutes even at night; in second one had a pungent smell of chlorine. In third one there was a monotonous ventilation noise like all the night (like you are sleeping in airplane). All rooms were in sad condition, furniture and bathroom equipment was done up indeed... And overall there is no sound insulation. I do not used to hear the neighbors voices( Good news: towels, linens and bathrobes were good.

We booked this hotel because we thought being near the zoo and the Borghese park would be fun with my two small kids - age 2 and 5. The hotel is elegant, definitely feels very old world, no modern amenities in the rooms, but it is charming. I booked a suite and our first room was terrible - first floor and there is a cable car that operates outside the building. It sounded like we were literally sleeping on top of a subway station. Absolutely awful. They were kind enough to move our room the following day and the second room was lovely. However, my parents were also experiencing the same sound issue. They also moved their room into an interior facing room and the new room was terrible - worst hotel bathroom I've seen. They didn't offer to show my parents the room before relocating. We were in Rome to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and her room had a handicapped bathroom - no real shower, just a hand-held and a bathroom that was designed to get water everywhere. My father is 6'3''. You can imagine his displeasure. The people at the front desk were for the most part unhelpful. Furthermore, the walk from this hotel into Rome central is long and hilly. The walk to the shuttle is almost not worth it. Ultimately, the breakfast here was wonderful and some of the employees were lovely but we would not stay again. Stick with Hotel de Russie or Portrait suites - better location and service.
