“Convenient and Clean but should do something with the bed”

For a small town like San Giovanni Rotondo, the Hotel was not bad at all. It was convenient. It's location was quiet and safe, looked like its located in a residential area so we had to take a shuttle to get to the Shrine of St. Padre Pio. We took our dinner there and the risotto funghi was really very good so it was a plus for me. The rooms are clean especially the bathroom. However, I find the bed so small. For plus people, they will find it difficult to sleep in this bed. Breakfast buffet was limited to cold cuts and bread so there not much funfare here.

My wife and I stayed here on a pilgrimage to the Church of Padre Pio. The hotel was less than a 5 minute shuttle ride to the church. The staff was friendly and helpful, though their English skills are limited. The hotel is quaint, even charming, if a little dated. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The AC worked well. The wifi worked well most of the time. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. This is not a luxurious hotel, but it is nice for a pilgrimage.

I stayed two nights there. I had a spacious and clean room with a toilet. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast was simple. It is located relatively close to Padre Pio shrine, actually it is in the mettle between the city centre and the shrine. I took a taxi to arrive because it was too warm to walk from the bus stop to the hotel with my lugged. But it is no too far. The staff is really friendly and prepared to help us. I totally recommend!

The hotel caters primarily to groups and pilgrims visiting the Sanctuary of St. Pio. It is located within walking distance of the sanctuary, but it's a steep walk uphill. The hotel looks fairly modern from the outside and the location is very quiet. Inside, design and decor are quite dated. Room and bathroom were clean, with reasonably comfortable bed and pillows. The A/C was very weak, nearly useless; had to sleep with the window open. Room amenities included a laptop-size safe, which initially didn't work and was eventually repaired after multiple requests. The room decor and furnishings were quite dated with old, tired-looking bedspread and draperies. The bathroom design was also quite dated with a fairly small shower cabin and hardly any shelf space. Instead of key cards, heavy metal keys are still used, with a separate one to activate electricity. Wifi worked ok, with a couple of hiccups. Breakfast was ok (from a 4-star hotel one would expect a wider selection). Items were not labeled. Only one coffee machine with long lines. Most of the staff are pleasant, however some need an attitude adjustment. Once I called the front desk to report that the Wifi was no longer working (I had tried both my phone and my laptop) and an annoyed man replied that for him everything was working fine and he was not a technician! Overall adequate, but definitely not a 4-star.
