We have just returned from a week staying at the hotel park Elizabeth, the route in from the main road up a half mile tree lined drive is rather grand and on entry the hotel has been finished to a really high spec. Along with our two friends we were almost the only guests at the hotel for the majority of our stay and it was almost total peace and tranquillity with the exception of two parties being held at the hotel over the weekend which were attended by a lot of locals, the Sunday around the pool was a bit hectic to say the least with the local occupants a little bit over excited at the use of a swimming pool for the day, there was constant throwing in and bombing thoughout the entire day and trying to get a sunbed or deckchair was particularly difficult, the usual difficulties you would find at many busy hotels! But peace returned after this thankfully. The breakfast sadly left a bit to be desired, there was fresh fruit etc out but it was extremely limited and the need to ask for a bowl, spoon and cold milk everyday to put on your cereal became a little tiring day after day. If only you could eat muesli on a plate dry with a fork! We did stay on the first evening at the hotel for dinner and the food was excellent and great value, but unfortunately a little rushed, on almost every occasion one of us were still chewing one course whilst the plate was being replaced with the next course. We did attend dinner at the hotel again however two days later and if we thought the first time was rushed we were certainly in for a surprise on our second visit, we nicknamed the maitre’d Ayrton Senna! We felt like we were an inconvenience and were stopping the employees from getting home early, needless to say we did not book ourselves in for dinner again! One person we should mention was Anna one of the reception staff, she doubled or trebled up as a bar staff when drinks were required and breakfast bowl and milk needed in the morning! We certainly did not feel like an inconvenience when Anna was around, she always appeared pleased to see us and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our trip with the additional benefit of trying to teach us the language. The hotel is a good hotel, but with a few tweaks really could be an exceptional one

“BEAUTIFUL SETTING”

The setting of this hotel amongst olive trees, with beautiful views from our balcony is wonderful. Our room, however, was sort of "generic". Although a new hotel, and clean, management needs to address ongoing maintenance, i.e., beat up walls, etc. Anyway, staff was VERY nice and helpful. Dinne… more

The setting of this hotel amongst olive trees, with beautiful views from our balcony is wonderful. Our room, however, was sort of "generic". Although a new hotel, and clean, management needs to address ongoing maintenance, i.e., beat up walls, etc. Anyway, staff was VERY nice and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was just okay. Service was very friendly.
