The Masseria Cervarolo is a farm with Trulli Houses (typical Apulian rural houses). It was built in the XVI century, on a 250 meters hillock that dominates a large and fertile plain, just 6 Km far from Ostuni Village. Like in many of the Masserias, the several parts of the building of the farm were born and changed during the centuries to favour the different cultivations and the productive activities. The toponum Cervarolo comes from the presence of some deer on the last offshoots of the Murgia Plateau, when they were covered with dense wooded areas. Its part of the Masseria a small church that was a very important place of adoration and it is evidence of this the recovery of many ex voto. Many legends are connected with the Masseria Cervarolo, rendering this place like place of pilgrimage for who is looking for serenity. It is also said that, in the area of the Masseria, the spring comes some weeks in advance and the farmers of the surrounding area, adapt the farming in virtue of this phenomenon. The restoration works, going on for more than 5 years, have been carry out with the absolute respect of the original architecture using original materials of the Masseria itself: chiance, chiancarelle (typical Apulian stones), calcareous stone blocks etc.
