Despite a couple of initial hiccups which were dealt with swiftly and efficiently, the stay was very pleasant and above my expectations. My single occupancy room is the largest I had seen in many years of travelling in Europe. It was quiet, the aircon worked perfectly (it initially didnt but was working fine the same afternoon), the bathroom was large and easy to move around in. Everything needed for a good night’s rest. There is also a handy table in the room if you want to eat takeaways or work on a laptop (for the economical business travellor). Breakfast was very good and tasty with a wide variety of choices. On both mornings, I noticed items were replenished quickly. Avoid the 7-8 am peak period if you want a more leisurely breakfast, there is no fear items will run out. The kitchen staff were extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is truly excellent, so near to Porta Susa station and yet s lovely 10-25 mins stroll under beautiful arcades to the city’s main square where the Palace Reale is. I enjoyed walking this way everyday. Truly a great location with a handy supermarket just a few doors down. Finally and most importantly the reception staff were so friendly and helpful, always with a smile no matter what! Thank you for a great stay snd I look forward to returning here on my next visit to Turin.

We had a pleasant room in this elegant old building. Good, comfortable mattress. Everything clean and in working order. Proper, professional staff on reception. This is a serious hotel but at a very reasonable price. The front rooms are on the street where trams run, but we didn't find them unduly noisy.

Friendly hotel with very helpful staff; for example, we arrived in the evening and they were able to suggest a restaurant and phone ahead to book us a table. Very convenient for the city; about a 15 minute walk mostly along loggia covered pavements. Breakfast was disappointing: We arrived in the dining room an hour or more before breakfast finished- The cooked food, including scrambled and fried eggs, appeared to have been cooked some time previously and was dried up and over cooked- it was not renewed Little fresh fruit- some of which was dried up. Huge number of cakes. Rubber mattress coverings under the sheets were uncomfortable, making the bed hot and sweaty!
