“A wonderful treat.... staying at the Brufani”

We came to Perugia for the Jazz Festival. The Brufani was amazing. The staff were fantastic. We were there for 10 days... It was a hot July and the air conditioned bedrooms worked wonders. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious... the servers knew our coffee preference as soon as we entered the dining room. What a glorious way to start the day. As we left for our morning walk the staff knew us greeted us by name. They were helpful with suggestions where to find things in town or places to go, or to help with reservations. The Hotel was truly our home away from home and can't wait to return for another festival or for an Italian adventure.

“Even Better Than Expected!”

My husband and I travelled to Perugia for the wonderful Trasimeno Music Festival and stayed at the Sina Brufani for nine nights. We loved it! The Brufani was truly our "home away from home" for our whole stay, which is just what we wanted. Our room was spacious, elegant and comfortable. The breakfasts were plentiful, with a variety of stations with juices, fruit, cereal, bacon and eggs, pastries, etc., etc.: truly something for everyone, including delicious caffe lattes. Our room had two windows that opened onto the beautiful views of a historic building, a lovely park, and the town and hills in the distance. There was a lot of activity outside those windows (which were actually soundproof): an antique market, a local chef's event and the set-up for the famous Umbria Jazz Festival, which began after we left. The linens on our king bed were high quality, the towels in the bathroom were soft and our housekeeper (Maria, during the early part of the day), was charming, thorough and accommodating when we wanted extra tissue or whatever. I don't know which rooms other reviewers stayed in, but we had no complaints - just a few niggles. For example, there was only beer, water, some pop and a couple of bottles of orange juice in the mini fridge: no wine! And the charming outdoor restaurant/bar closed before midnight most of the time we were there. That was frustrating when we came back from a concert on the bus after 11 p.m., longing for an Aperol spritz to relax us before a good night's sleep! But the hotel really came through on the last day of the festival when, at breakfast, we heard from another guest that there were people in the hotel who had Covid! I hadn't been feeling well for a couple of days, so thought it was just a summer cold. But after hearing "Covid" (we hadn't had it before - and we're up to date with all of our boosters!), I immediately called the concierge who got a young, English-speaking doctor to call us. He sent us to a pharmacy for testing, which was positive, unfortunately! Then he came to our hotel room, checked us over and prescribed us medications to make our return home to Toronto more comfortable. Dottore Fabrizio gave us five-star service! We were gutted about having to miss the last part of the festival, but we were made comfortable in our hotel room. And we felt bad about having to fly the following day, but we wore N95 masks on the flight, of course! We would love to return to the Brufani - and stay in "our" room again!

“Brufani”

always a great experience to stay at Brufina. the views are incredible and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this as 'the' place to stay in Perugia! We have visited Perugia 3+ times in the last 15 years and have always stayed at the Brufina.

“Very stylish, comfortable and friendly”

I stayed for 12 days in June 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were excellent, the breakfasts generous with an excellent buffet style choice and the bed comfortable . Their basement swimming pool is small but, four days in a row, I had it all to myself for an hour. Its roof terrace and adjacent park are ideal spaces to get fresh air and shelter from the sun. The hotel’s accessibility to every central attraction could not be better. My only negative comment is that the carpet in my room was so stained that I wouldn’t walk on it in my bare feet and the wallpaper on several walls was badly “scuffed” by guests’ bumping their cases against them. However, it is a place of great style and it never felt congested. One very positive feature was that the air conditioning in the room was very effective at lowering the temperature quickly.
