Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed by the reception staff. We were neatly taken to our room by golf cart. The room was very clean and spacious. A bathroom and floor with beautiful Italian colored tiles and a spacious balcony with a view of the well-kept planting of the resort, everything made it a very pleasant stay. The beds were firm and I still regret not asking which pillows they were. I have never had such fantastic pillows in a hotel; not too thick, not too soft, but just right for everyone. All the staff is very friendly (even though we hardly speak Italian) and everyone is really focused on making the stay pleasant for the guests; from the staff in the restaurant to the people who take care of the garden every day. Our luggage had not arrived in Naples and the reception staff helped us very well with tracing it. In addition, with tips for shopping malls to buy the necessary items that we missed because we had no luggage. The resort is beautifully maintained and also outside everything is clean and tidy. The pool is clean and beautifully situated between Oleanders and Tuscan jasmine. The resort has rooms in the main building, around the pool and in a second ring around it. The rooms in the 'second ring' are quieter, but also have a view of the beautiful flowering garden. We were well informed in advance about the fact that there were a number of weddings during our stay and on which days they were. The pool may have closed an hour earlier, but we were not bothered by that at all. Around the pool there are a lot of sunbeds, sun umbrella's and there is space for you in the sun or shade under the trees. After a short walk through a pine forest you arrive at the private beach of the resort. So you always have the choice between the pool and the beach (with sunbeds). The breakfast is very good and there is really nothing missing. The dinner is fine, one day a little better than the other (after all, tastes differ). But every evening there is a choice between various starters, main courses and desserts. The prices for the dinner are in line with Northern European prices. The Paestum ruins are about a 5 minute drive from the resort (a car is needed). Having a drink in the afternoon with a view of the ruins is a nice way to end a beach/pool day. Pompeii or Herculaneum is about a 1 hour drive from Oleandri, but definitely doable for a day trip. In short, for us it was a wonderful stay and we certainly hope to come back at Oleandri!

We travelled with a 4 and 12 year old and this hotel had a lot to offer. The hotel itself is large safe and clean with a kids club and activities in the morning at the beach and at the hotel in the afternoon and evening. The entertainment was generally good and there were a lot of staff to work with the kids. There is also a pasta station they can get food at outside restaurant hours. The room in the main hotel was very nice - superior room. Small balcony but large bathroom and a good size mini bar. Beds were comfortable and there was a bath. The pool was large and lots of space for the kids. It was a little tatty with crumbly floor in places and in need of some minor repairs. With some work it would be superb. The beach was a short walk and very well equipped. Great cafe and places to shower. The food was very good. We went Al a carte not half board and were impressed throughout. We ate at the restaurant every evening and all of the food was very good. Wine prices were good as was the food though the kids food was on the expensive side. We paid around 100 euro a night for 2 pizzas a kids meal a pasta dish and a bottle of local red. Our server Antonio was amazing throughout and deserves a special mention for his great service. Some staff spoke English but be prepared to know a small amount of Italian. Most of the guests were Italian but with a spattering of other nationalities. Overall a great hotel but you do pay for it. If the pool had some work would be the full 5 stars.

“Nice stay for a short time”

Lots of parking. Staff excellent with our 2 young kids. Huge language barrier - very basic English spoke. We were the only English during our stay. They provided gluten free options at breakfast & lunch but due to the language barrier my son consumed gluten one meal time which made him unwell, even though we double checked every time that what he was consuming was gluten free. The pool was lovely, quiet & picturesque but needs daily cleaning & maintenance (debris on the bottom of the pool & paint flaking away). Kids area was great with a playground & kids club (which they didn’t attend as staff very limited English). There is also a kids restaurant for under 36 months with purées and pasta which is free for lunch & dinner, sadly we couldn’t take advantage as were only told at the end of our trip. It seems the main building, restaurant & bar area have been renovated to a beautiful standard along with some of the rooms however our apartment was yet to be, it was clean but definitely needs updating, it didn’t fit the rest of the hotel and was very Butlins holiday camp vibe. Overall the food at the restaurant & the beach club was lovely but on the pricer side. The beach club is across a small road and is lovely, comfortable loungers & beach/pool towels provided for €5 each for however many days you’d like. I would recommend for a short break however 4 nights was enough for us, due to only one evening restaurant, it would’ve been nice for a change of scenery and not many restaurants in the area. The lobby bar opens at 7pm, having it open earlier would be better for those pre dinner drinks. The kids disco didn’t start until 930pm so we didn’t make that, would be better 8/830pm. Not sure if there was evening entertainment- not that we saw anyway! There was a gap between lunch & dinner from about 230-730pm so would’ve been ideal for a snack bar to be open during this time.
