Just returned from a weeks break at the Stelle hotel. We had a great time in Naples, and the Stelle hotel as a base contributed to us having a fantastic time. Firstly, the location was excellent for us right next door to the main train station, giving easily access to train services, metro services, and bus services, including 15-minute bus transfer to the airport for €5. Previous reviews have commented on the area feeling unsafe, which we didn't find at all. Yes, the area can feel a little dirty but no more so than in any other major city. We found the same when staying near the Gare du Nord in Paris a couple of years ago. There are some homeless people who frequent around the station area hut again no more so than what can be found in any other major city. The hotel has a handy link to the back, which opens out onto the station concourse and means you can access the hotel within a couple of minutes' walk from the station as well as transport services, the station had a huge shopping mall offering all sorts of shopping facilities' a food court and a supermarket. Impressions of the hotel were great from the moment we walked through the front door at 11pm at night to be greeted with a friendly welcome. The hotel is clean and smells so nice as you walk into the lobby. We were allocated a room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the side street. We were allocated an accessible room that appeared to have all the necessary requirements for visitors requiring additional support with their hotel room. The room was spacious and clean, and we had fantastic cleaning services throughout the week. We were provided with slippers, which was great for accessing the balcony, which got quite dusty due to being on a busy street. We had a fully functioning air conditioning unit that we could control from inside the room. We were very appreciative of the cleaning staff who switched on the air.conditioning each day in readiness for our return after blistering hot days. The bed was very spacious and had a very firm mattress, which was sprung. We found this a little uncomfortable for us, but we do have a memory foam mattress at home, so this was quite different It certainly didn't impact my positive impression of the hotel. We had a very spacious bath room incorporating a wet room and toilet/bidet with its own shower attachment. Breakfast was provided each morning. It didn't provide a huge selection like much larger hotels, but it did provide a smaller variety of choices from cereals, sweet pastries, yoghurt, fruit, ham, cheese, scrambled, and bread The coffee was from a machine which was really good and there was a selection of fruit juices too. The hotel also has a lovely cafe/ pizza restaurant Binaria Clamo, just across a public accessible walkway into the statio, which provided good options for meals, snacks, and drinks later in the day. We ate out in the Piazza Garibaldi for our first 2 nights but then discovered some amazing local taverns on the local area offering amazing food at such reasonable prices. We didn't have any concerns for our safety walking around local residential areas late at night and found we were welcomed into local restaurants. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Stelle Hotel and would have no problems recommending the hotel to others.

Preamble: My family of 5 (2 parents, 2 adult children and a teenager) stayed at this hotel in 2 rooms - 1 double and 1 triple, in late July 2024. The hotel was chosen for us as part of an Air Canada Vacations "Discover Italy" package by choosing "4 star accommodations." AG Boutique was the tour operator that booked the hotels for us. Upon arrival, the front staff greeted us warmly (in English) and provided us with all the information we would need for our stay, including the 'city tax" of roughly 6 Euros per person, per night that would be in addition to what we already paid. Unfortunately, our rooms were not ready upon arrival but the front desk kept them secure for us while we went out for our afternoon excursion to Pompeii. Our two rooms were near each other and very spacious! Unfortunately, my three adult/almost adult children were unhappy to see that the "double" bed in their room could not be separated so that they could have 3 singles instead. The washroom in both rooms were spacious with large walk-in showers. However, there was essentially no counter space for toiletries. Breakfast included pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, meats, bread, etc. Comparing to the other hotels we stayed at, I'd say the offerings were typical for the area. However, the coffee machine would not work consistently and the drinks I tried from it were not that great. With respect to the location, this hotel was a 2 minute walk to the train station which was very convenient for us. For one of our tours, we needed to catch the "subway" to get to the meeting point (the pier for the Ferry to Capri) and once we learned where we were going, it was cost effective (1.5 Euros per person each way, if I recall correctly.) While I felt safe the entire trip, I got the impression that this hotel was not located in the nicest part of the city. Perhaps that's why our tour operator had us going to the surrounding islands for the days we were there? Overall, we were very happy with our stay and felt we got our money's worth.

We chose the Srelle as it was close to the station and wrongly assumed there was a train from the airport into Naples. There isn't we got a bus instead dropping us off at Garabaldi wjlhich was handy as you walk through and can walk to the back of the hotel. The hotel itself was fine easy to find first impressions friendly receptionist greeted us we were in room 105. Not huge but it was fine for four nights. The room was clean bed comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me. Only two tea bags and no free water!! There are drinks in the fridge. It was convenient for the train as we went to Palazzo Reale, Herculaneum and Pompeii. The area itself is grotty not many restaurants but snack bars are plentiful. It's not ideal if you want pleasant surroundings for dinners but ideal as a base. Receptionist translated a message for us which helped us move onto our next destination. Breakfast was mediocre mostly cake, a selection of ham and cheese slices. Fruit juice is watery tea and coffee plentiful.
